Article Synopsis
  • Sleep disorders, especially obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), are common in primary care, but only a small percentage of OSA cases are diagnosed; primary care physicians (PCPs) have varying levels of knowledge about OSA.
  • A study was conducted using the OSAKA questionnaire among 256 PCPs attending medical conferences to evaluate their knowledge and attitudes towards OSA.
  • Results showed that while most PCPs felt confident in identifying OSA, many lacked confidence in managing it, indicating a need for better training in OSA management.
