Alzheimer's disease (AD) leads to gradual memory loss including other compromised cognitive abilities. Acetylcholinesterase (AChE), an important biochemical enzyme from the cholinesterase (ChE) family, is recognized as primary pharmacological target for treating AD. Currently marketed drugs for AD treatment are primarily AChE inhibitors and coumarin derivatives comprising a wide variety of pharmacological activities have proved their efficacy towards AChE inhibition.

Citrus tristeza virus (CTV, genus ) is one of the most serious pathogens responsible for huge loss of citrus trees worldwide. The characteristic disease symptoms of apical leaf curl, crinkled leaves and conspicuous mosaic were observed in potato plants grown in areas of Coochbehar, one of the distinct agroclimatic zones of sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) population was also observed in and around the infected plants. The characteristic disease symptoms and presence of whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) population indicated the possibility of begomovirus infection.

Background: Allergic Rhinitis (AR) though quite common in India, does not receive its due importance as it deserves.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection is a common infection in developing countries, including India. It can induce several cutaneous reactions such as erythema nodosum, and erythema induratum; however, association of tuberculosis with Sweet's syndrome (also known as acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis) is extremely rare. Here we present an interesting case of sputum-positive pulmonary tuberculosis with Sweet's syndrome.
