Background: The accurate preoperative diagnosis of TC plays a very important role in the selection of an appropriate treatment strategy. In addition to the hypoechogenicity of thyroid lesions on ultrasound and the presence of microcalcifications or high cell atypia on FNAB, highlighting the features of laterality and focality and ascertaining their influence (alone or combined) on TC staging and appropriate treatment are crucial.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 697 patients admitted to the study center between 2008 and 2023 was conducted.
In this retrospective study, the relationship between the pN stage of TC and the ultrasound hypoechogenicity of tumour encapsulation and vascular invasion was investigated. The data of a total of 678 TC patients were analysed. The goal of this study was to assess the significance of the pTNM score and preoperative ultrasound features in predicting cancer prognosis and guiding therapeutic decisions in patients with TC.

We drew attention to some events, such as "cancer screening activity", introduction of noninvasive follicular neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFTP) to TC types, possibility of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) active surveillance (AS), occurrence of personalized medicine in TC management, and, finally, COVID-19 pandemic time. Because of the opinion that all changes have been made mostly by PTC, we compared it to the remaining types of TC in terms of incidence, clinical and pathological characteristics, and treatment.

This results in an increasing number of thyroidectomy complications being faced in clinical practice. In this paper, we present the current state of knowledge and the latest findings in the fields of modern surgical techniques, thermal ablation, the identification and assessment of parathyroid function, recurrent laryngeal nerve monitoring and treatment and perioperative bleeding.

In our paper, we present the latest knowledge on the use of artificial intelligence in diagnosing and classifying thyroid nodules. We particularly focus on the usefulness of artificial intelligence in ultrasonography for the diagnosis and characterization of pathology, as these are the two most developed fields.

The tumour, diagnosed as sebaceoma (or sebomatricoma), showed predominantly differentiation towards ductal protion of the sebaceous gland. It was marked in tissue sections as areas of "poroid" cells and the tumour required differentiation from poroma.

Malignant transformation within an adnexal neoplasm with features of spiradenoma and cylindroma is reported in a 60-year-old woman. The malignant component of the tumor consisted of areas of solid carcinoma, with focal squamous metaplasia. In the benign component, apart from the features of spiradenoma and cylindroma, sebaceous differentiation was present adjacent to a cystic space lined by apocrine epithelium.

We faced the difficulties in reaching the preoperative diagnosis, likewise in determining the extent of the tumor, as the results of the computed tomography differed from the pathologic findings of the tumor. The review of the literature concerning this unusual site for liposarcoma and methods of treatment is also included.

In some cases a transient rise of A1AT activity, raised activity of alkaline phosphatase and gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase were noted. Histological examinations demonstrated slight hepatocellular damage with microfocal necrosis, fatty infiltration of some cells and increase in the structural elements of cytoplasm.

Seven acquired B samples were studied with selected anti-B sera. Eight sera came from group A subjects, four from group O subjects. The anti-B sera reacting with the acquired B antigen are always a mixture of two kinds of antibodies: a fraction that is only reactive with B antigen, another that is cross-reactive with B and acquired B antigens.

Marked interstitial edema in the dog kidneys after hemodilution was the most pronounced alteration, attributed to disorders in the capillary circulation depending upon the apparatus employed. This conclusion was supported by similar changes in animals subjected to various degrees of hemodilution.

The hearts of rabbits killed 24 hours after intoxication with Intration in the dose of LD50 and rabbits treated at the same time with PAM or atropine were studied pathomorphologically. Twenty-four hours after administration of Intration toxic lesions of the myocardium and endocardium were observed, which were more pronounced in rabbits treated simultaneously with the detoxifying agents as compared with those which received only Intration. The intensity of the changes was due to overdosage of the detoxifying agents, especially PAM which was particularly harmful.
