Following the publication of the above article, the authors noticed that they had inadvertently included a duplication of the same data in Fig. 3C, portraying colony formation experiments, where the results from differently performed experiments were intended to have been shown, and requested that a corrigendum be published to present the data in this figure accurately. Having investigated this matter in the Editorial Office, however, additional panels of overlapping data were identified, comparing between Figs.

We observed discrepancies in serum prolactin levels in several patients measured with different immunoassays. Despite differences in assay results, the reference intervals (RIs) derived by the manufacturers were similar.

Variation between laboratories can be expected. However, recently published measurements of AVP, OXT, and BNP in human plasma under basal/control conditions include numbers which, between publications, vary by 100-10 000-fold.

We present a case of exogenous Cushing syndrome caused by Binahong: an over-the-counter 'herbal' supplement. A 54-year-old woman presented with weight gain, joint pain, hypertension and poorly regulated type 2 diabetes mellitus despite the start of semaglutide one year before presentation.

Previous studies have shown that LbGp can regulate the immune microenvironment, but its specific mechanism of action remains unclear.
Aims: In this study, we aimed to explore the mechanism of action of LbGp in the treatment of spinal cord injury through metabolomics and molecular experiments.
Background: The function of Family with sequence similarity 111 member B (FAM111B) has been reported in multiple malignancies, but its involvement in occurrence and development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is still unclear.
Purpose: To investigate the role of FAM111B in HCC and explore the potential molecular mechanism.
Methods: We examined the mRNA level of FAM111B via qPCR and protein level via immunohistochemistry in human HCC tissues.
Helicase-like transcription factor (HLTF) has been found to be involved in the maintenance of genome stability and tumour suppression, but whether its downregulation in cancers is associated with posttranslational regulation remains unclear. Here, we observed that HLTF was significantly downregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues and positively associated with the survival of HCC patients. Mechanistically, the decreased expression of HLTF in HCC was attributed to elevated β-TrCP-mediated ubiquitination and degradation.

China's emission control for nonroad diesel mobile machinery (NDMM) must deal with a fast increase in stock as well as regulations that are two decades behind those for on-road vehicles. This study provides the first large-scale review and evaluation of China's NDMM policies, along with emission measurements and an investigation on diesel fuel quality. The sulfur contents of the investigated diesel declined from 430 ppm (median value) in 2011 to 6-8 ppm during the 2017-2018 period.

The significance of evaluating vehicular emissions has been gradually highlighted with the rapid development of the local transportation and tourism sectors. This study provides the first estimates based on both bottom-up and top-down approaches.

Intermediate volatility organic compounds (IVOCs) from mobile sources contribute significantly to secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation. However, the assessments of IVOC emissions remain considerably uncertain due to the lack of localized measured data and detailed emission source classifications. This study established a comprehensive database of IVOC emission factors (EFs) for mobile sources based on the diversified measured EFs and correlations with hydrocarbons.

High-grade glioma shows aggressive growth pattern, and conventional treatments, such as surgical removal and chemo-radiotherapy, archive limitation in the interference of this process. In this work, HOXA5, from the HOX family, was identified as a glioma cell proliferation-associated factor by investigating its feature in the TCGA and CGGA data set.

To investigate the binding behavior between high-amylose maize starch and binary aroma combinations of decanal and thymol, starch-aroma inclusion complexes (ICs) were prepared by a one-step or two-step method with different concentrations and orders of addition. The thymol molecule induced the starch chain to form a larger helical cavity and was more likely to form hydrogen bonds with solvents.

Background: Preoperative serum carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) is used to judge the diagnosis and prognosis of various tumors. However, the relationship between preoperative serum CA125 and prognosis of hilar cholangiocarcinoma (HCCA) has not been proven. This study aims to evaluate preoperative serum CA125 in predicting the prognosis of HCCA after resection.

Methods: A total of 191 patients who underwent LT between 2015 and 2019 were included in the retrospective analysis.
Background: The mechanisms by which hypertension accelerates coronary artery disease are poorly understood. Patients with hypertension often have confounding humoral changes, and to date, no experimental models have allowed analysis of the isolated effect of pressure on atherosclerosis in a setting that recapitulates the dimensions and biomechanics of human coronary arteries.
Objectives: This study sought to analyze the effect of pressure on coronary atherosclerosis and explore the underlying mechanisms.
Background: Primary liver cancer, around 90% are hepatocellular carcinoma in China, is the fourth most common malignancy and the second leading cause of tumor-related death, thereby posing a significant threat to the life and health of the Chinese people.
Summary: Since the publication of in 2018, additional high-quality evidence has emerged with relevance to the diagnosis, staging, and treatment of liver cancer in and outside China that requires the guidelines to be updated. The new edition was written by more than 70 experts in the field of liver cancer in China.
Background: A normal albumin-to-globulin ratio (NAGR) in serum is greater than 1. Inversed albumin-to-globulin ratio (IAGR < 1) indicates poor synthetic liver function or malnutrition. The aim of this study is to evaluate whether preoperative IAGR was associated with worse oncologic survival after hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Therefore, to determine the potential function of IκBα in hepatocarcinogenesis, the present study used immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining to analyze the associations between IκBα protein expression and clinicopathologic characteristics of 107 patients with HCC. It was found that expression of IκBα was significantly associated with tumor recurrence.
