Eosinophilic granuloma (EG) is a benign bone tumor of unknown origin usually seen in children. It is typically found in flat and long bones of the skull and of the appendicular skeleton, respectively. Small bones are rarely affected.

Our primary objective was to assess the interpretation quality of immediate post-operative pelvis radiographs after treatment.
Methods: A series of 28 randomly selected patients (30 hips) with pre- and post-operative pelvis radiographs and post-operative magnetic resonance imaging were included.
Osteosarcomas are common bone malignancies in children and adolescents. LDOC1 (leucine zipper, down-regulated in cancer 1), a tumor suppressor, is down-regulated in many cancers. In this study, we investigated the role of LDOC1 in tumor metastasis and its prognostic significance in osteosarcomas.

There is still controversy on the management of septic arthritis in neonates. This study aims to investigate the treatment of septic arthritis in neonates. We reviewed 52 neonates (37 males and 15 females) with septic arthritis in our hospital during 2004 to 2015.

We performed a systematic review to describe the findings from 21 studies that have examined the genetic variants related to ICTEV, and to evaluate the quality of reporting. We found that ICTEV was positively associated with Hox family genes, collagen family genes, GLI3, N-acetylation genes, T-box family genes, apoptotic pathway genes, and muscle contractile family genes.

Here, we evaluated selenium levels in the serum and bone tissue samples from osteosarcoma patients using atomic absorption spectrometry. The in vitro effects of Se-methylselenocysteine (Se-MSC) on growth, cell cycle status, and apoptosis of osteosarcoma cells were assessed using the WST-1 assay, Hoechst 33342/propidium iodide staining, and flow cytometry, respectively.

Several studies have suggested that cinobufagin has potent anti-cancer effects. The present study examines the apoptosis-inducing activity and the underlying mechanism of action of cinobufagin in osteosarcoma (OS) cells.

We sought to determine the biological function of GSK-3β in osteosarcoma, a rare pediatric cancer for which the identification of new therapeutic targets is urgent.
Methods: We used cell viability assays, colony formation assays, and apoptosis assays to analyze the effects of altered GSK-3β expression in U2OS, MG63, SAOS2, U2OS/MTX300, and ZOS osteosarcoma cell lines.
