Charge generation layers (CGLs) play crucial roles in determining the electroluminescence (EL) performance of tandem organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). However, acquiring negligible voltage drops across the CGL unit and high-efficiency multiplications remains challenging. Here, we propose barrier-free strategies to compose a high-performance p-i-n type CGL intermediate by introducing a Yb/HI-9 modification at the heterojunction and a novel n-dopant, Yb:1,3-bis(9-phenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin-2-yl)benzene (mdPPhen), as the n-CGL.

Aqueous zinc-carbon capacitors display application potential in green power and high-end equipment owing to their high security, large power and sustainability. The water-rich zinc anode-electrolyte interface (AEI) and disordered zinc-ion diffusion are the culprits triggering corrosion reactions and dendrite growth, threatening the sustainability of aqueous zinc-carbon capacitors. Herein, a polyfunctional biomolecular, vitamin B6, is introduced into the traditional aqueous electrolyte for customizing the functional AEI and fine-regulating the interfacial coordination environment of zinc ions.

Drug repositioning, which involves identifying new therapeutic indications for approved drugs, is pivotal in accelerating drug discovery. Recently, to mitigate the effect of label sparsity on inferring potential drug-disease associations (DDAs), graph contrastive learning (GCL) has emerged as a promising paradigm to supplement high-quality self-supervised signals through designing auxiliary tasks, then transfer shareable knowledge to main task, i.e.

The transition from water to land of amphibians is evolutionarily significant in the history of vertebrates, and immunological adaptation is an important challenge for amphibians to respond to the dramatic changes of the environmental pathogens during their origin and diversification. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are important pattern recognition receptors for the innate immune response and TLRs signaling pathway play essential roles in the immune responses to pathogens and inflammatory reaction. However, the evolutionary patterns and molecular mechanisms underlying their adaptation in amphibians are poorly documented to date.

This study investigates the ethanol gas-sensing mechanisms of ZnO nanocrystals with distinct morphologies, synthesized via a hydrothermal method using various alkali sources. Significant differences in the gas-sensing performance and morphology of ZnO samples synthesized with ammonium carbonate (NaCO), hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA), ammonia solution (NH·HO), and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) were observed. ZnO were confirmed to be impurity-free through XRD analysis, and their morphological features were characterized by SEM.

  • Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs) hold potential for treating spinal cord injuries (SCI) due to their ability to promote neuroregeneration and improve recovery through specific microRNAs (miRNAs), particularly miR-202-3p.
  • In experimental settings, administering BMMSCs to SCI rats showed improved motor functions and facilitated spinal cord repair, while miR-202-3p was found to influence cellular processes linked to autophagy and neuronal health.
  • The study highlights that BMMSCs enhance recovery by activating certain molecular pathways (AMPK, MAPK, and PI3K/AKT) that regulate autophagy and reduce cell death, demonstrating a coordinated action via miR-202-

Lenvatinib has been demonstrated effective in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamics behavior of lenvatinib and its metabolites remains unclear. To investigate the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamics behavior of lenvatinib and its active metabolites in advanced HCC patients, it is important to develop a simple and rapid method to analyze the exposures of lenvatinib and its metabolites in human samples. Here, we established and validated a simple and rapid method for determining lenvatinib and its three major metabolites, descyclopropyl lenvatinib (M1), O-demethyl lenvatinib hydrochloride (M2), and lenvatinib N-Oxide (M3) by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method.

Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks-8 (ZIF-8) have recently gained attention as nanocontainers for encapsulating corrosion inhibitors. However, two main challenges remain unsolved, casting doubt on their suitability as nanocontainers. The first challenge is their instability in acidic and basic environments, leading to structural decomposition and the second challenge is their mass diffusion limitation caused by micropore dominance and a small aperture size of 0.

Powdery mildew is a prevalent wheat disease that affects yield and quality. The characterization and fine mapping of genes associated with powdery mildew resistance can benefit marker-assisted breeding. In this study, quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with powdery mildew were mapped using a high-density 35K DArT genetic linkage map developed from a population of double haploid lines (DHs) created by crossing "Jinmai 33 (a highly resistance line) with Yannong 19 (a highly susceptible line)".
