Survival Outcome and Predictors of Survival in Elderly Breast Cancer Patients following Curative Treatment.

Anoop TM  The lack of data on management of elderly breast cancer patients' population makes most oncologists reluctant to treat them with the standard treatment protocols as advised for the younger patients. This study was done to identify the survival outcome and predictors of survival in elderly breast cancer patients treated with curative intent.  Newly diagnosed patients with breast cancer aged more than 65 years who received treatment with curative intent were included.

Fin field-effect-transistor engineered sensor for detection of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells: A switching-ratio-based sensitivity analysis.

The present study describes the utilization of a gallium-arsenide gate-stack gate-all-around (GaAs-GS-GAA) fin field-effect transistor (FinFET) to accomplish the electrical identification of the breast cancer cell MDA-MB-231 by monitoring the device switching ratio. The proposed sensor uses four nanocavities carved beneath the gate electrodes for enhanced detection sensitivity. MDA-MB-231 (cancerous) and MCF-10A (healthy) breast cells have a distinct dielectric constant, and it changes when exposed to microwave frequencies spanning across 200 MHz and 13.

Clinical Outcome of Neoplastic Meningitis Associated with Breast Cancer.

Cardiac toxicity of patients on short course trastuzumab in combination with chemotherapy (FinHer Protocol) in breast cancer.

FinHer regimen is considered a relatively cardiac safe regimen for Her 2 positive breast cancer in resource-limited settings. There is limited data on cardiotoxicity of this regimen. Out of 1200 patients diagnosed with carcinoma breast during the study period, three hundred Her2-positive early-breast cancer patients received FinHer protocol were included.

B-lymphoblastic lymphoma of the rectum.

Lymphoblastic lymphoma is a neoplasm of immature cells committed to the B-cell or T-cell lineage. B-lymphoblastic lymphoma usually involves lymph nodes and extranodal sites, such as the skin, bone, and soft tissue. The rectum is a very rare site of involvement in B-lymphoblastic lymphoma.
