Oral Linezolid Induced Early Onset Hepatic Encephalopathy- A Case Report of 65-year Old Diabetic Female.

Introduction: Linezolid is increasingly utilized to treat gram-positive bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotics like vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, methicillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus as well as drug-resistant tuberculosis. It acts by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria. Although it is a relatively safe medicine, many reports of hepatotoxicity and neurotoxicity linked to long-term usage have been received but patients with pre-existing risk factors, such as diabetes and alcoholism, may have toxicity even after short-term use of linezolid.

Comparison of safety and analgesic efficacy of diclofenac sodium with etodolac after surgical extraction of third molars: a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel-group study.

Background: Surgical extraction of third molars is associated with postoperative pain and swelling at the extraction site. Pain is commonly managed using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Postoperative pain is usually moderate to severe in the first 12 h postoperatively and lasts for 3-5 days.

Isoniazid-Induced Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A Case Report.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) can be induced by various medications, such as hydralazine, procainamide, isoniazid, methyldopa, chlorpromazine, quinidine, and minocycline. A patient was admitted complaining of fever with chills and rigor. After being diagnosed with tuberculous meningitis, the patient was given antituberculosis treatment.

A Rare Case Report of Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis Due to Ofloxacin.

Background: Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN), also known as Lyell's syndrome, are rare and life-threatening conditions, for which etiopathogenesis, as well as pharmacotherapy, is yet unclear.

Case Report: A 45-year-old male patient by chance on re-exposure to Ofloxacin developed Severe Cutaneous Adverse Drug Reaction (SCADR), diagnosed with toxic epidermal necrolysis. His comorbid conditions and systemic complications of TEN lead him to death.

Tramadol-Induced Hiccups: A Report of Two Cases.

Hiccups can be idiopathic, psychogenic and organic, with drugs being one of the most important causes of hiccups. Although the exact pathophysiological processes involved are still poorly understood, the neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin, and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) have been documented to play a significant role in the generation of hiccups. We report on two patients with cellulitis who developed hiccups with the use of tramadol as an analgesic.

Cyclophosphamide and/or Anthracyclines Induced Epiphora in Breast Cancer Patients: A Rare Side-effect.

Background: Two female breast cancer patients developed epiphora after administration of cyclophosphamide and/or anthracyclines based 2-day chemotherapy regimen. An ophthalmologist was consulted and no apparent cause was found.

Case Description: Patients were managed by ciprofloxacin eye drops.

Clinical Manifestations, Treatment, and Outcome of Hospitalized Patients with Plasmodium vivax Malaria in Two Indian States: A Retrospective Study.

This was a retrospective study done on 110 patients hospitalized with P. vivax malaria in three medical college hospitals, one in the union territory of Chandigarh and the other two in Gujarat, that is, Ahmedabad and Surat. The clinical presentation, treatment, and outcome were recorded.

Nevirapine and/or co-trimoxazole induced Stevens Johnson syndrome in HIV infected patient--a case report.

A 46 years old HIV reactive patient developed Stevens Johnson syndrome (SJS) probably due to nevirapine and/or co-trimoxazole. Patient was on zidovudine + lamivudine + nevirapine along with Co-trimoxazole since last two months. After 15 days, zidovudine was replaced with stavudine due to development of anemia.
