2024 HRS perspective on advancing workflows for CIED remote monitoring.

Cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) generate substantial data, often stored in image or PDF formats. Remote monitoring, now an integral component of patient care, places considerable administrative burdens on clinicians and staff, in large part due to the challenge of integrating these data seamlessly into electronic health records. Since 2006, the Heart Rhythm Society, in collaboration with the CIED industry, has led an initiative to establish a unified standard nomenclature.

Non-consumptive value of hilsa fishery restoration in West Bengal, India: An application of contingent valuation method.

The study focuses on the socio-cultural importance of hilsa fishery in West Bengal, which extends beyond mere sustenance, symbolising heritage, identity, and community spirit, particularly in South 24 Parganas district. As the state fish and a crucial livelihood source for many fishers, grave concerns have recently been flagged due to reduced catches and increased prices, highlighting the need for restoration. This study seeks to measure the non-consumptive value of hilsa fishery by involving 200 participants, 100 fishers and 100 consumers, utilising the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) with a payment card.

Uranyl Naphthylsalophen and Pyrasal Complexes: Oxo Ligands Acting as Hydrogen Bond Acceptors in the Solid State.

Uranium is most stable when it is exposed to oxygen or water in its +6 oxidation state as the uranyl (UO) ion. This ion is subsequently particularly stable and very resistant to functionalization due to the inverse trans effect. Uranyl oxo ligands are typically not considered good hydrogen bond acceptors due to their weak Lewis basicity; however, the ligands bound in the equatorial plane greatly affect the strength of the oxo ligands' hydrogen bonding.

Salinity variations drive the phytoplankton dynamics in the Gangetic estuary: insights from the modelling approach for species responses and pollution indicators along the longitudinal estuarine gradient.

Spatial and temporal variation in phytoplankton assemblage and their species responses with varying salinity regimes were investigated in the Hooghly Matlah estuary, India during two annual period. The exhaustive survey in the ten sampling stations recorded 132 species of phytoplankton belonging to 95 genera. The study revealed 12 taxonomic algal groups with the dominance of class Bacillariophyceae (43 species).

Background: Recognition of atypical anorexia nervosa (AAN) has challenged underweight as a defining factor of illness severity in anorexia nervosa (AN). The present study aimed to compare rates of medical instability in adolescents with underweight (AN) and non-underweight (AAN) anorexia nervosa.

Background: Over 100,000 Abbott Riata were implanted in the United States before they were recalled in 2010. There are still a significant number of Abbott Riata leads in use, and it is unclear how these leads should be managed at the time of generator change or lead malfunction. Although data comparing both Sprint Fidelis and Abbott Riata leads in this setting is available, there are no multicenter comparative studies of outcomes for various lead management strategies, including lead extraction (LE), lead abandonment/revision (LA), and generator change (GC) only at the time of device at elective replacement interval (ERI) for Abbott Riata leads.

The current study determined Tor putitora (Hamilton, 1822) fishery, growth, mortality, and population characteristics using length-frequency data assembled monthly from the Tehri dam reservoir in Uttarakhand from January to December 2022. Probing river health status: a study based on index of biotic integrity (IBI) in Tapti River of Deccan plateau, India.

Anthropogenic activities impacted the ecological health of rivers by altering the physical habitat and water flow as well as by pollution. Monitoring of biotic groups for gauging the river health is a prerequisite for assessing the extent of degradation and formulating management guidelines for river restoration. An assessment using fish-based index of biotic integrity (IBI) was carried out in the Central Indian river, Tapti, for probing its health status.

Medical instability in typical and atypical adolescent anorexia nervosa: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

This review investigates the relationship between weight and risk of medical instability (specifically bradycardia, hypotension, hypothermia, and hypophosphatemia) in adolescents with typical and atypical anorexia nervosa. Atypical anorexia nervosa, listed as an example under the DSM-5 category of Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED), describes patients who are not clinically underweight but otherwise meet criteria for anorexia nervosa. There is a lack of empirical evidence exploring medical complications in adolescents presenting with atypical anorexia nervosa.

Long term prognosis and 5-year survival for pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains suboptimal. Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) guided RFA (EUS-RFA) is an emerging technology and limited data exist regarding safety and long-term outcomes. The aim of this study is to report safety-profile, feasibility and outcomes of EUS-RFA for advanced PDAC.

Diagnostic yield of inpatient capsule endoscopy.

Background: Capsule endoscopy (CE) provides a novel approach to evaluate obscure gastrointestinal bleeding. Yet CE is not routinely utilized in the inpatient setting for a variety of reasons. We sought to identify factors that predict complete CE and diagnostically meaningful CE, as well as assess the impact of inpatient CE on further hospital management.

Endoscopic Coil Embolization for Refractory Intrahepatic Biliary Duct Leak.
