- Traditional medicine has used Hibiscus sabdariffa for various treatments, and this study analyzed its extract for producing silver nanoparticles.
- The extract contained notable amounts of phenolics (84.9 mg/gm) and flavonoids (41.50 mg/gm) and exhibited antibacterial properties against E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus with a 75.15% scavenging activity.
- The silver nanoparticles were stable for 30 days, measured 21.22 nm, and showed potential cytotoxicity against lung cancer cells and anti-inflammatory effects, suggesting further research is needed for their medicinal use.
