Introduction: Cardiomyopathy is a complex condition influenced by multiple genes and environmental factors. It has been suspected that cardiomyopathy is affected by the ACE gene's I/D polymorphism. Our study aimed to evaluate the association between this polymorphism and cardiomyopathy risk in the Jammu population of North India, alongside a meta-analysis to determine the specific risks associated with different types of cardiomyopathy.

Background: Cancer is a global medical challenge, and research is at its peak to understand the unique mechanisms of cancer cells. The expanding field of epidemiology, including molecular and environmental studies, helps us better understand the distribution of molecular changes and environmental risk factors in the population.
Aim: In the present review, we aimed to find out the different genes and environmental factors that are associated with different cancers in the Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) region of the North Indian population.
Migraine is a complex disorder with multigenic inheritance and is characterized by the cardinal symptom of unilateral headache. Many genes are responsible for increasing the susceptibility of disease within different populations. Therefore, our primary aim in this review was to catalog the many genes that have been studied in India and after collecting the necessary information, we calculated a more precise risk relationship between an identified variation and migraine.

Multiple genes are responsible for hindering the susceptibility of pain threshold one of which is the eNOS gene and its variants. Multiple independent observational studies with case-control design produced conflicting findings, which can be attributed to a variety of factors including varying sample sizes, demographic stratification, technique application, etc.

Genetic factors have impacted incredibly on the susceptibility of migraine and one such example is the TNF-α 308G > A.
Aim: Therefore, we aim to provide a glimpse of the association of the TNF-α 308G > A risk on the susceptibility of migraine.
Complexity in tissues affected by cancer arises from somatic mutations and epigenetic modifications in the genome. The mutation susceptible hotspots present within the genome indicate a non-random nature and/or a position specific selection of mutation. An association exists between the occurrence of mutations and epigenetic DNA methylation.

Methods: Rats were fed orally with Curcuma longa aqueous and 70% alcoholic extract for 60 days (500 mg x kg(-1) x day(-1)).
Results: A reduction in sperm motility and density was observed in both the treated groups.
