Purpose: We aim to assess the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-to-CT deformable image registration (DIR) quality of our treatment planning system in the pelvic region as the first step of an online MRI-guided particle therapy clinical workflow.
Materials And Methods: Using 2 different DIR algorithms, ANAtomically CONstrained Deformation Algorithm (ANACONDA), the DIR algorithm incorporated in RayStation, and Elastix, an open-source registration software, we retrospectively assessed the quality of the deformed CT (dCT) generation in the pelvic region for 5 patients. T1- and T2-weighted daily control MRI acquired prior to treatment delivery were used for the DIR.
: Left atrial (LA) fibrosis imaging improves the guidance of LA catheter ablation. Cardiac computed tomography (CT) may be a reasonable alternative to CMR. The aim was to evaluate late enhancement (LE) fibrosis mapping by CT, and to correlate the results with low-voltage areas on electroanatomical mapping (EAM).

NAFLD can be asymptomatic, with liver function tests insensitive to mild disease, and liver biopsy, risking complications. Thus, we investigated multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) metrics of liver fat (proton density fat fraction, PDFF) and disease activity (fibro-inflammation; iron-corrected T1, cT1), in a Hispanic pre-pubertal pediatric cohort, with increased risk of NAFLD.

We assessed the normal population reference range of both cT1 and PDFF in healthy child and adult volunteers without any known liver disease.
Methods: A retrospective multi-centre pooled analysis of 102 child and young adult (9.

Mitochondria are vital for cellular activities, influencing ATP production, Ca2 signaling, and reactive oxygen species generation. It has been proposed that nuclear genome-derived circular RNAs (circRNAs) play a role in biological processes. For the first time, this study aims to comprehensively explore experimentally confirmed human mitochondrial genome-derived circRNAs (mt-circRNAs) via in-silico analysis.

Purpose: To quantify the variability of cT1 and liver fat fraction from PDFF in patients with biopsy-confirmed metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and MASH.
Study Type: Prospective, single center.
Objective: Lipomatous hypertrophy of the interatrial septum (LHIS) is a distinct section of epicardial adipose tissue. However, its association with COPD is poorly documented.
Methods: Patients undergoing coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA) for clinical indications were recruited retrospectively and screened for LHIS and COPD.
This study assessed the impact of current home practices including reheating, standing, and stirring on mitigation of furan and its derivatives in vegetable-based infant meals. Three vegetable-based infant meals (vegetables alone, with fish, with meat) underwent different home practices including reheating, post-reheating standing (60, 120 and 240 s) and post-reheating stirring (30, 60, 120 and 240 s). Targeted quantification of furan, 2-methylfuran (2-MF) and 3-methylfuran (3-MF) and exploration of additional furan derivatives were undertaken in treated and untreated vegetable-based infant meals using SHS-GC-Q Exactive-Orbitrap-MS.

The aim of this study was to report the clinical presentation, surgical treatment, and outcome in dogs and cats surgically treated for traumatic PL.
Study Design: This is a retrospective study.
Serum liver tests (serum tests) and histological assessment for T-cell-mediated rejection are essential for post-liver transplant monitoring. Liver biopsy carries a risk of complications that are preferably avoided in low-risk patients. Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) is a reliable noninvasive diagnostic method that quantifies liver disease activity and has prognostic utility.

There is increasing evidence that serum cytokine levels are altered in individuals with AN. Previous research has largely focused on adult patients, assuming a low-grade pro-inflammatory state.

In order to be able to irradiate from different angles, usually expensive, complex and large gantries are used. Instead rotating the beam via a gantry, the patient itself might be rotated.

Objective was to investigate the diagnostic efficacy of coronary CTA stratified by age and gender.
Methods: 1882 consecutive patients (58.
Previous studies have demonstrated a brain volume decrease linked to long-term starvation in patients with anorexia nervosa (AN). Food intake is critically diminished in this disorder, leading to one of the highest mortality rates within the psychiatric disease spectrum. As reported in animal models, astrocytes seem to be the most affected cell type in AN.

The GAD literature is inconsistent regarding which medications are more effective for somatic versus psychic symptoms of GAD, and treatment guidelines do not advocate for prescribing based on subtype. This meta-analysis aimed to determine whether benzodiazepines and antidepressants have a differential impact on the somatic versus psychic subscales of the HAM-A in GAD.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play a regulatory role in translating genes into proteins and help understand and treat diseases. An extensive literature review on miRNAs with AN and comorbidities has uncovered a significant lack in miRNA research.

The historical use of seedling rootstocks in Chile has experienced a recent shift towards clonal rootstocks, driven by the potential to produce more consistent and predictable crops. This research aims to compare Hass avocado plants grafted on Mexicola seedling and Dusa clonal rootstocks in a soilless and protected system using (i) a differential expression analysis of root and leaf samples and (ii) a fruit transcriptomic and metabolomic integration analysis to improve our understanding of rootstock-scion interaction and its impact on avocado tree performance and fruit quality.

Objectives: Percutaneously placed small-bore (14 Fr) catheters and pleural lavage have emerged independently as innovative approaches to hemothorax management. This report describes techniques for combining percutaneous thoracostomy with pleural lavage and presents results from a performance improvement series of patients managed with percutaneous thoracostomy with immediate lavage.
Methods: This was a prospective performance improvement series of patients treated at a level 1 trauma center with percutaneous thoracostomy and immediate lavage between April 2021 and May 2023.
Background: Over the last eight decades, many evidence-based interventions (EBIs) have been developed to reduce amenable under-5 mortality (U5M). Implementation research can help reduce the lag between discovery and delivery, including as new EBIs emerge, or as existing ones are adapted based on new research. Rwanda was the first low-income African country to implement the rotavirus vaccine (RTV) and also adopted Option B+ for effective prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) before the World Health Organization's (WHO) recommendation.
