Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i), initially born as anti-diabetic drugs, have shown many beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system, in particular against heart failure (HF). HF is a complex and multifaceted disease that requires a comprehensive approach.
