Hospital Resilience in Three COVID-19 Referral Hospitals in Brazil.

Health crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, challenge health systems in demonstrating resilience-the ability to cope with change, manage challenges, and adapt in order to retain their effectiveness. Understanding how such challenges affect and produce reactions in those involved in this response is extremely important. This study evaluated resilience in three referral hospitals in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil-one public, one private, and one philanthropic hospital-by examining the coping activities adopted by the nursing staff working on the COVID-19 frontline.

Investigation in forensic nursing: trajectories and possibilities of action.

To theorize and reflect on the possibilities of the forensic nurse's performance, emphasizing the work as a civil and criminal expert, based on the Brazilian legislation, ethical principles, and comprehensive care for human beings. This is a theoretical study of exploratory nature with reflective and critical characteristics. It was based on the history of the national and international development of the forensic nursing specialty.

Sexual dysfunction after cervical cancer treatment.

Objective: To describe the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics and those related to the sexual life, and to identify sexual dysfunction in women after cervical cancer treatment.

Method: Cross-sectional study including women aged ≥18 years and completion of the three-month treatment. Two instruments were used: form with sociodemographic, clinical and sexual life-related information; and the Female Sexual Function Index to assess the sexual function of sexually active participants, with score values ≤26 classified as sexual dysfunction.

[Quality of care in the family healthcare units in the city of Recife: user perception].

This study seeks to assess user perception regarding the quality of care in Family Health Units in Recife. It is a descriptive cross-sectional study adopting a quantitative approach. The survey was conducted in Recife and 939 users were interviewed, being predominantly young adults, female, married, housewives with low levels of education.

[Access to primary healthcare services: still a way to go].

This study seeks to evaluate accessibility to the Basic Units of the Family Health Strategy (ESF-UB) and Traditional Basic Units (BU-T) in the city of Recife in 2009. Data were collected through three instruments: a roadmap for systematic observation of the units and questionnaires for users and professional units. This is a descriptive cross-sectional study using a quantitative approach, and 1180 users, 61 doctors and 56 nurses were interviewed.
