Purpose: The purpose of this work was to evaluate whether inter-fraction imaging and replanning enhance treatment delivery adherence to clinical planning objectives in the context of a 5-fraction template-based interstitial brachytherapy (TISB) approach for gynecologic cancer treatment.
Methods And Materials: This retrospective study analyzed nineteen patients who underwent 5 fractions of interstitial brachytherapy over 3 days using the Syed-Neblett template. A verification CT scan was acquired for applicator assessment and reviewed by a radiation oncologist and medical physicist before each fraction.

Cysteine cathepsins are lysosomal proteases subject to dynamic regulation within antigen-presenting cells during the immune response and associated diseases. To investigate the regulation of cathepsin X, a carboxy-mono-exopeptidase, during maturation of dendritic cells (DCs), we exposed immortalized mouse DCs to various Toll-like receptor agonists. Using a cathepsin X-selective activity-based probe, sCy5-Nle-SY, we observed a significant increase in cathepsin X activation upon TLR-9 agonism with CpG, and to a lesser extent with Pam3 (TLR1/2), FSL-1 (TLR2/6) and LPS (TLR4).

Background: Patients with neurologic diseases have complex medical needs and may benefit from the addition of clinical pharmacists in their care.
Objectives: This study aimed to describe integration and benefit of clinical pharmacists in neuroimmunology and neuromuscular clinics at an academic medical center.
Methods: This retrospective chart review evaluated patients initiated on a neurology medication for a neuroimmunology or neuromuscular disease state before and after pharmacist integration in neurology clinics.
Combinatorial therapies consisting of radiation therapy (RT) with systemic therapies, particularly chemotherapy and targeted therapies, have moved the needle to augment disease control across nearly all disease sites for locally advanced disease. Evaluating these important combinations to incorporate more potent therapies with RT will aid our understanding of toxicity and efficacy for patients. Objectives: This project established baseline patient issues addressed via telephone by RO triage nurses in a clinically busy academic RO department; identified themes and potential areas for workflow improvement; and evaluated interprofessional perceptions of RO triage from nurses, physicians, and radiation therapists.
Purpose: This guideline provides evidence-based recommendations on appropriate indications and techniques for partial breast irradiation (PBI) for patients with early-stage invasive breast cancer and ductal carcinoma in situ.
Methods: ASTRO convened a task force to address 4 key questions focused on the appropriate indications and techniques for PBI as an alternative to whole breast irradiation (WBI) to result in similar rates of ipsilateral breast recurrence (IBR) and toxicity outcomes. Also addressed were aspects related to the technical delivery of PBI, including dose-fractionation regimens, target volumes, and treatment parameters for different PBI techniques.
