The Schwartz's reagent Cp2Zr(H)Cl is a well known stoichiometric reagent for the reduction of unsaturated organic molecules but it has rarely been used in catalytic transformations. Herein, we describe the reduction of a variety of organic carbonates using the catalyst Cp2Zr(H)Cl in combination with Me(MeO)2SiH (DMMS) as reductant. This method was further applied to the reductive depolymerization of some polycarbonate materials and yielded silylated alcohols and diols in mild conditions.

The rare cDC1 population is of particular interest because of its remarkable ability to cross-present antigens (Ag) to CD8+ T cells, to promote Th1 cell polarization and NK cell activation and recruitment. However, the spatial organization and specific functions of cDC1s in response to immunotherapy remain to be clearly characterized in human tumors.

It is questionable whether single-gene RT-PCR versus next-generation sequencing (NGS) should be used for this evaluation. Moreover, co-occurring mutations have an impact on tumor behavior and may influence future therapeutic decision-making.

Objectives: The efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy (NT) prior to angioplastic lobectomy (AL) in non-small cell lung cancer is unclear. This study assessed its impact on morbidity, mortality and 5-year survival.
Methods: We retrospectively analysed 114 patients who underwent AL at 2 tertiary centres from January 2000 to December 2020.
PD-1/PD-L1 blockade has so far shown limited survival benefit for high-grade ovarian carcinomas. By using paired samples from the NeoPembrOv randomized phase II trial (NCT03275506), for which primary outcomes are published, and by combining RNA-seq and multiplexed immunofluorescence staining, we explore the impact of NeoAdjuvant ChemoTherapy (NACT) ± Pembrolizumab (P) on the tumor environment, and identify parameters that correlated with response to immunotherapy as a pre-planned exploratory analysis. Indeed, i) combination therapy results in a significant increase in intraepithelial CD8PD-1 T cells, ii) combining endothelial and monocyte gene signatures with the CD8B/FOXP3 expression ratio is predictive of response to NACT + P with an area under the curve of 0.

This cohort presents a unique opportunity to assess the strengths and limitations of current World Health Organization (WHO) classification criteria and to evaluate the utility of emerging markers.
Patients And Methods: Patients were diagnosed based on the 2021 WHO criteria, with atypical carcinoids (ACs) defined by the presence of focal necrosis and/or 2-10 mitoses per 2 mm.
Tracheoesophageal fistulas (TOF) following esophagectomy for esophageal cancer are rare but potentially fatal. There is no consensus on treatment between stenting and surgical repair, although the latter is associated with better distant survival. In surgical repair, the interposition of a flap improves healing by providing well-vascularized tissue and reinforcing the repair zone.

The main difficulty is the identification of intersegmental boundary lines which dictate postoperative morbidities.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective study to compare the perioperative outcomes of patients who underwent minimally invasive segmentectomy using the traditional deflation-inflation method or the novel indocyanine green (ICG) technique.
Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are a critical determinant of resistance to PD-1/PD-L1 blockade. This phase 1 study (MEDIPLEX, NCT02777710) investigated the safety and efficacy of pexidartinib, a CSF-1R-directed tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), and durvalumab (anti-PD-L1) in patients with advanced colorectal and pancreatic carcinoma with the aim to enhance responses to PD-L1 blockade by eliminating CSF-1-dependent suppressive TAM. Forty-seven patients were enrolled.

The latter mixture can undergo methanolysis or hydrolysis into the valuable ester I(CH)COMe or the acid I(CH)COH. In contrast, SiHI depolymerized PCL into the fully deoxygenated species I(CH)I and -hexane.

However, this requires high-quality and clinically annotated biological material. Therefore, we established a lymphoma biobank including all available biological material (tissue specimens and matched biological resources) along with associated clinical data for lymphoma patients diagnosed, according to the WHO classification, between 2005 and 2022 in the Laboratory of Clinical and Experimental Pathology, Nice, France.

We evaluated the rate of correlation between MET expression and the PD-L1 TPS in matched biopsies and surgically resected specimens from NSCLC patients.
Patients And Methods: This retrospective analysis assessed the prevalence and correlation between MET expression (SP44 clone) and the PD-L1 TPS (22C3 clone) by immunohistochemistry together with molecular alterations determined by targeted next-generation sequencing in matched lung biopsy and surgically lung resected specimens from 70 patients with NSCLC.
Purpose: Metastatic endocrine-resistant breast cancer (MBC) is a disease with poor prognosis and few treatment options. Low lymphocyte count is associated with limited overall survival. In a prospective cohort of lymphopenic patients with HER-2 negative MBC, we assessed the clinical and biological impact of pembrolizumab combined with metronomic cyclophosphamide.

The partial reduction of amides is a challenging transformation that must overcome the intrinsic stability of the amide bond and exhibit high chemoselective control to avoid overreduction to amine products. To address this challenge, we describe a zirconium-catalysed synthesis of imines by the reductive deoxygenation of secondary amides. This reaction exploits the excellent chemoselectivity of Schwartz's reagent (Cp Zr(H)Cl) and utilises (EtO) SiH as a mild stoichiometric reductant to enable catalyst turnover.

In this context, an access to 2,3-disubstituted indoles from o-alkynyl aniline and iodoalkyne derivatives via a gold-catalyzed sequence under visible-light irradiation and in the absence of an exogenous photocatalyst was uncovered. A wide scope of the process is observed.
