Purpose: Due to the generalization of new microsurgical equipment, intraoperative fluorescence techniques have extended in neurosurgical practice, mainly in neurovascular and neuro-oncology patients. The aim of identifying pathological tissue and also differentiating from the normal brain helps neurosurgeons to approach other kinds of intracranial entities such as infections.

Methods: It is described in the case of an 11-year-old patient who underwent a subdural empyema by performing a craniotomy and evacuation of the purulent collection.

Introduction: Mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) represents a major health concern, because a sizeable number of patients with mild TBI will develop potentially life-threatening complications. The target of this study was to describe a large series of adult patients suffering from mild TBI, treated at University Hospital of Getafe, between 2010 and 2015 ( = 2480). We examined the patients' epidemiological and baseline clinical profile, diagnosis, treatment and ultimate outcomes, to identify major prognostic factors that influence the final result.

Rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor of the fourth ventricle is a primary central nervous system tumor introduced in the group of glioneuronal tumors in the WHO classification of 2007. Initially it was described around the fourth ventricle, but recently have been published cases in different locations. We present 2cases of this rare tumor, both surgically treated.
