Background: Telangiectasias treatment can lead to skin hyperpigmentation, and pretreatment evaluation with dermoscopy was never performed. This study aimed to evaluate the applicability of dermatoscopy before telangiectasias treatment.
Methods: A prospective study evaluating patients of both sexes (18 to 60 years old), with telangiectasias (venous disease C2-C3 CEAP) of the lower limbs treated at outpatient clinics.
The leaves of the wild tomato harbor type-IV glandular trichomes (GT) that produce high levels of acylsugars (AS), conferring insect resistance. Conversely, domesticated tomatoes () lack type-IV trichomes on the leaves of mature plants, preventing high AS production, thus rendering the plants more vulnerable to insect predation. We hypothesized that cultivated tomatoes engineered to harbor type-IV trichomes on the leaves of adult plants could be insect-resistant.

The study objective is to evaluate the potential benefit of apixaban plus aspirin compared with standard of care dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in reducing thrombotic restenosis and artery re-occlusion in patients undergoing endovascular infrapopliteal revascularization.
Study Design: This multicenter, parallel-group, prospective, randomized, open-label, blinded-endpoint adjudication, proof-of-concept, exploratory trial aims to randomize 200 patients 72 hours after successful infrapopliteal angioplasty for critical limb ischemia (CLI).
The Prospective Payment System uses Diagnosis-Related Groups (DRG) as a reimbursement system. DRG 202 is a disease-related group including liver cirrhosis as a whole. Patients referring to the inpatient unit complain of variable severity and complications of cirrhosis, possibly implying different expenditure of resources.

In order to reduce these adverse reactions and to adopt the lysosomotropic approach to antiviral chemotherapy, ara-AMP was coupled to lactosaminated human serum albumin (L-HSA), a neoglycoprotein which specifically penetrates hepatocytes. In mice with Ectromelia virus hepatitis, ara-AMP coupled with L-HSA was selectively delivered to liver cells in which it was released in a pharmacologically active form.
