Vertebral hemangiomas are the most common tumours of the vertebral column. Generally, these tumours are asymptomatic but some patients complain of back pain and develop neurologic symptoms due to extraosseous extension. Vertebral hemangiomas can extend extradurally causing neurological impairment as a result of compression of the spinal cord and nerve roots.
