Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease of the joints with occasional involvement of extra-articular organs. Although rheumatoid factor (RF) is associated with more severe baseline disease severity and a higher incidence of extraarticular diseases, whether it predicts response to treatment in patients taking conventional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) is unclear as evidence has so far been conflicting.
Methods: A 3-year (January 2021 to December 2023) multicenter retrospective cohort study was done at 1 public and 4 private hospitals in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
MOSD is a rare and disabling immune-mediated inflammatory Astrocytopathic disease characterized by demyelination and axonal destruction, typically involving the spinal cord and the optic nerve. Here we present a case report of a 53-year-old female patient who had a pertinent history of treatment for optic neuritis a few months back, currently diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica after she presented with a three-week history of weakness of lower extremity, headache, and neuropathic pain. She was pulsed with methylprednisolone and started on azathioprine, which significantly improved her clinical condition.

Background: Esophageal groove dysfunction is one of the major causes of ruminal bloat. This condition is fatal in new born calves if it is not treated early. In healthy, suckling calves, milk should bypass the forestomach (rumen and reticulum) and enter into the abomasum where enzymatic digestion of milk proteins takes place.
