Internet gaming disorder (IGD) has been included in the 2013 (DSM-5) as a condition in need of further study, and gaming disorder was recognized by the World Health Organization as a mental disorder in the (ICD-11) of 2018. IGD has different characteristics in the two sexes and is more prevalent in males than females. However, even if the female gamer population is constantly growing, the majority of available studies analyzed only males, or the data were not analyzed by sex.

This population of young surgical and medical patients opens up new challenges in clinical management, including evaluation and optimization of psychosocial functioning and quality of life. Data regarding neurocognitive and psychopathological adaptation, personality and quality of life of CHD patients are rather extensive but still insufficient to guide management approaches to these subjects and to address the numerous emerging problems.

The effect of fructose-1,6-diphosphate (FDP) on the recovery of post-arrest cardiac performance was assessed in isolated rabbit heart preparations subjected to cold ischemic cardioplegic arrest (CICA). Twenty-eight hearts were perfused with Krebs-Henseleit (KHBS) solution followed by 40 minutes of CICA. After CICA normothermic reperfusion with KHBS was restarted.
