Macrophage presence and location were evaluated in juvenile boar testes at the end of the first wave of Sertoli cell proliferation. Macrophage presence was compared in littermate boars treated with letrozole, a treatment which extended this first wave of proliferation beyond the sampling timepoint. Macrophages were identified as the CD68 positive cells following immunohistochemical labelling of paraffin sections and parenchymal macrophages enumerated.

The aim of this explorative study was to determine associations between voice parameters measured by a voice range profile (VRP) and personality, mental and physical health.

Robots artificially replicate human capabilities thanks to their software, the main embodiment of intelligence. However, engineering robotics software has become increasingly challenging. Developers need expertise from different disciplines as well as they are faced with heterogeneous hardware and uncertain operating environments.

As living drugs, engineered cells can still be detected in some patients even years after the original infusion. The excitement around the cell therapy field continues to expand as recent reports have shown that CAR T cells can induce remission in patients with autoimmune disease.

Adequately treated, up to 70 % of PWE will become seizure-free, however, as many as 85% of PWE worldwide, mostly from LMICs, do not receive adequate treatment.

Retinal layer thinning measured by optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a biomarker of neuroaxonal damage associated with disability progression in MS.
Objective: We aimed to determine a potential association between OCT parameters (peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL) ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL), inner nuclear layer (INL) thickness), and PRLs in patients with MS (pwMS).
The frozen elephant trunk (FET) procedure is known as an effective treatment option for patients with any aortic pathology involving the aortic arch. However, there is growing evidence that many patients often require secondary intended, expected, or unexpected aortic reinterventions during follow-up. In those with underlying aortic dissection pathology, a substantial risk for developing distal stent-graft-induced new entries (dSINEs) has been identified as one cause for secondary aortic reinterventions.

Measurements of the associated production of a W boson and a charm ( ) quark in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 are reported. The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 19.7 collected by the CMS detector at the LHC.

The extent of protection provided by individual antibody levels in breakthrough infections is still unknown and cut-off levels have yet to be determined.
Methods: In 80 consecutive fully vaccinated patients hospitalized between August and December 2021 with COVID-19 breakthrough infection (Delta variant), anti-CoV2S antibody levels were analyzed for the endpoint of death.
Purpose: To highlight the typical histological and ultrastructural features of severe infectious crystalline keratopathy (ICK) in a corneal graft, which required excimer laser-assisted repeat penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) and to present the challenging treatment conditions associated with ICK.
Methods: An 85-year-old female patient underwent PKP for secondary graft failure after Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) for Fuchs' endothelial corneal dystrophy in the left eye. One year later, white branched opacities were observed in the superficial corneal stroma of the graft without surrounding inflammation in the left eye.
En route to putative rare-earth-metal alkylidene complex Li[Lu(CHSiMe)(CHSiMe)], according to Schumann's original protocol, the reaction of YCl with LiCHSiMe in a mixture of diethyl ether and -pentane afforded a neosilyl ate complex of composition LiY(CHSiMe). Tetrametallic complex LiY(CHSiMe) shows an unprecedented structural motif in the solid state and was further characterized by heteronuclear H/C/Li/Si/Y, as well as VT NMR and DRIFT spectroscopies. Analysis of the thermolysis product heteronuclear NMR spectroscopy and its reactivity towards benzophenone gave strong evidence for an alkylidene formation upon decomposition.

However, research has paid little attention to why guided interventions are superior. The present study investigated whether working alliance and adherence to the program mediated the effect of guidance on depressive symptom outcome.

The purpose of this study was to analyse Twitter activity of the radiotherapy community around ESTRO congresses with a focus on gender-related and geographic trends.
Materials And Methods: Tweets, re-tweets and replies, here designated as , around the ESTRO congresses held in 2012-2021 were collected.

Background And Objectives: The objective was to study complement-mediated cytotoxicity induced by immunoglobulin G (IgG) anti-aquaporin-4 antibodies (AQP4-IgG) and anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibodies (MOG-IgG) in human serum samples from patients suffering from the rare demyelinating diseases of the CNS neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and MOG-IgG-associated disease (MOGAD).
Methods: A cell-based assay with HEK293A cells expressing different MOG isoforms (MOGαβ) or AQP4-M23 was used. Cells were incubated with human MOG-IgG or AQP4-IgG-positive serum samples together with active or heat-inactivated human complement, and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) was measured with a lactate dehydrogenase assay.
Background: In 2018 multiple sclerosis (MS) care unit (MSCU) recommendations were defined. Nevertheless, the information on MS care, and whether MS centres fulfil the international recommendation is limited. Thus our objectives were to assess whether centres meet the MSCU recommendations and gain a comprehensive overview of MS care in Central-Eastern European countries.

Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of bright light therapy as a treatment option for MS-related fatigue.
Background And Purpose: The images acquired during radiotherapy for image-guidance purposes could be used to monitor patient-specific response to irradiation and improve treatment personalisation. We investigated whether the kinetics of radiomics features from daily mega-voltage CT image-guidance scans (MVCT) improve prediction of moderate-to-severe xerostomia compared to dose/volume parameters in radiotherapy of head-and-neck cancer (HNC).
Materials And Methods: All included HNC patients (N = 117) received 30 or more fractions of radiotherapy with daily MVCTs.
Introduction: The combination of internet-based intervention and psychotherapy, commonly termed blended therapy (BT), has gained popularity in recent years. While advantages and disadvantages of BT have been identified from the patient and therapist perspective, the two perspectives have rarely been examined within the same treatment. Moreover, almost all available research on patient and therapist experiences with BT is disorder-specific.
