[Role of helminth antigens in the abnormal mitosis of bone marrow cells in laboratory animals].

The intraabdominal administration of somatic extracts of the cestodes Hydatigera taeniaformis Batsch 1786, Lamarck, 1816 and Diphyllobothrium latum Linnaeus, 1758 and the nematodes Anisakis simplex larva Rudolphi 1809, Toxocara canis Railliet et Henry, 1912 in albino mice proved that these helminths had a karyopathic effect on the bone marrow cells of the animals. The antigenic composition of these extracts was investigated using the agar gel immunodiffusion test. The antigenic composition of the parasites was ascertained to affect their karyopathic properties.

[Protective properties of the immunomodulator Gala-Vet in a complex with cellular Echinococcus multilocularis antigen in experimental hydatidosis].

The paper provides the results of studying the protective properties of the immunomodulator Gala-Vet alone and in combination with the cellular antigens of Echinococcus multiocularis protoscolexes in experimental murine hydatidosis. After checking inoculation with E. multilocularis protoscolexes and acephalocysts (a dose being 750+/-50 specimens), the protective efficiency in the mice immunized with the cellular antigen subcutaneously injected thrice in a dose of 60 micromg was 91.

Data are given on immunochemical analysis and serological activity of different antigens from larval and imaginal forms of Taenia hydatigena. Considerable heterogeneity and close antigenic affinity of the parasite's extracts under study both between each other and with the host's proteins, excluding the antigens from T. hydatigena, which has no common components with the latter, are established.
