Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a counseling approach based on Mindful Eating on the eating behavior of individuals living with overweight and obesity.
Methods: A 16-week randomized clinical trial was conducted to compare an online group intervention (IG) with individual online nutritional counseling (TAU). Volunteers ( = 61), aged 18 or older with BMI ≥ 25 kg/m, were randomly assigned to the two groups and invited to participate in eight biweekly sessions.
High-energy nuclear collisions create a quark-gluon plasma, whose initial condition and subsequent expansion vary from event to event, impacting the distribution of the eventwise average transverse momentum [P([p_{T}])]. Disentangling the contributions from fluctuations in the nuclear overlap size (geometrical component) and other sources at a fixed size (intrinsic component) remains a challenge. This problem is addressed by measuring the mean, variance, and skewness of P([p_{T}]) in ^{208}Pb+^{208}Pb and ^{129}Xe+^{129}Xe collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.

Unprecedented in size among cryogenic calorimetric experiments, CUORE provides a promising setting for the study of exotic throughgoing particles. Using the first tonne year of CUORE's exposure, we perform a search for hypothesized fractionally charged particles (FCPs), which are well-motivated by various standard model extensions and would have suppressed interactions with matter.

Our previous work identified BAM15 (IC 0.27 μM) as a potent and efficacious mitochondrial uncoupler with potential for obesity treatment.

Mitochondrial uncouplers such as BAM15 increase respiration and energy expenditure and have potential in treating a variety of metabolic diseases. In this study, we disclose the structure-activity relationship profile of 6-substituted [1,2,5]oxadiazolo[3,4-]pyridin-7-ol derivatives of BAM15.

Thus, this study aimed to assess the prognostic value of SARC-CalF in predicting clinical outcomes in patients admitted for any elective surgery in a hospital.
Methods: Cohort study with prospective data collection of surgical patients ≥18 years of age screened for sarcopenia within 48 h of admission using the SARC-CalF (score ≥11 points classified patients at suggestive signs of sarcopenia).
Background: The metabolic pathway of de novo lipogenesis (DNL) is upregulated in fatty liver disease and liver cancer. Inhibitors of DNL are in development for the treatment of these disorders; however, our previous study showed that blocking DNL unexpectedly exacerbated liver tumorigenesis when liver acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) 1 and 2 enzymes were deleted in mice treated with diethylnitrosamine (DEN) and fed high fat diet. Herein, we used 3 new approaches including ACC1 vs.

If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.

Herein, we report a novel imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine scaffold derived from iterative modifications of the potent uncoupler BAM15. Our structure-activity relationship (SAR) study demonstrated that this promising scaffold has a range of tolerated substitutions that allows for the modulation of uncoupling activity and in vivo pharmacokinetic properties.

In the companion publication, small-scale material characterization tests, a careful DEM parameter calibration and DEM simulations of the manufacturing process were used to develop a reliable RTD models. In the current work, the same calibration workflow was employed to evaluate the predictive ability of the resulting reduced-order model for an extended design space.

The high-fidelity digital twin platform was based on typical pharmaceutical equipment, materials, and direct compression continuous processes. The paper describes in detail the material characterization, the Discrete Element Method (DEM) model and the DEM model parameter calibration approach and provides a comparison of the system's response to the experimental results for stepwise changes in the API concentration at the mixer inlet.

This study utilized the Discrete Element Method (DEM) to investigate blending in a 5-liter mini-batch and a 2-liter Turbula blender. DEM parameters were calibrated using small-scale powder characterization tests, so that the particle behavior in the DEM simulations matches the measured behavior.

The dataset used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector. Two fiducial regions with an enhanced presence of events featuring two longitudinally polarized bosons are defined.

Objective: The aim was to assess the quality of evidence from meta-analyses on low-carbohydrate (LC) dietary interventions for glycemic control, weight loss, and lipid profile in individuals with T2DM.

Searches targeting pure-wino chargino pair production, pure-wino chargino-neutralino production, or Higgsino production decaying via standard model W, Z, or h bosons are combined to extend the mass reach to the produced supersymmetric particles by 30-100 GeV. The depth of the sensitivity of the original searches is also improved by the combinations, lowering the 95% C.
