- The quality of pharmaceutical care in Dutch community pharmacies has been analyzed annually since 2008, with a validated set of quality indicators developed in collaboration with key stakeholders, including pharmacists and patient organizations.
- In 2012, 1739 pharmacies (88% of the total) participated, reporting on 66 quality indicators across 10 categories, revealing high scores for quality structures but lower scores for processes and dispensing outcomes.
- Overall, there was an improvement in indicator scores over time within pharmacies, though the extent of improvement varied between different pharmacies.
