[Treatment results of patients with rectum tumor in a city hospital].

Introduction: Two hundred and three patients were operated on with rectal malignancy between 2007 and 2014 in our surgical department.

Methods: Of these, patients who had cancer within 16 cm of the anal verge were included. 73 patients received neoadjuvant treatment and 130 patients were treated with primary resection.

We would like to present the case of a young woman (age 34) who was admitted to our department due to unbearable colicky pain, which started one week prior to her hospitalization. The authors present a case of a 48 year-old man, who was diagnosed with several brownish sigmoid polyps of 1-2 cm size and diverticulosis on colonoscopy.
