The aim of this study was to conduct a head-to-head comparison of responsiveness of four PROMs used to measure outcome after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. View Article and Find Full Text PDFPurpose: This study presents clinical results of a case series of isolated reconstruction of the posterolateral corner (PLC) with a new technique that aims to reconstruct the lateral collateral ligament (LCL), popliteus tendon, and popliteofibular ligament.
Methods: From 1997 to 2005, 27 patients available for follow-up with isolated posterolateral instability were treated with primary reconstruction of the LCL and PLC. The median age was 28 years, and there were 16 male patients.
Background: In cases of multiple ligament injury or severe medial collateral ligament (MCL) lesion, nonoperative treatment of the MCL lesion may lead to chronic valgus instability or rotatory instability.
Hypothesis: In a retrospective case series after isolated and combined MCL reconstructions using a novel MCL reconstruction technique that addresses both the MCL and the posteromedial corner, an acceptable clinical outcome is expected 2 years after MCL reconstruction.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of surgical reinsertion of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) to the adductor tubercle compared with conservative treatment in patients with primary dislocation of the patella.
Methods: Eighty patients with primary patella dislocation were included in the study. Delayed arthroscopy (mean, 50 days after injury) was performed to assess cartilage injury and status.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare long-term results after surgical and conservative primary treatment of first-time traumatic anterior shoulder dislocation.
Methods: Arthroscopic diagnosis after first-time traumatic anterior shoulder dislocation was performed, and in cases of a Baker type 1, 2, or 3 lesion, patients were randomized either to conservative treatment with a fixed sling for 1 week followed by a rehabilitation program or to open repair with a similar rehabilitation program.
Results: In this study 76 patients (14 female and 62 male patients), aged 15 to 39 years, were randomized to surgical repair (n = 37) or conservative treatment (n = 39).
