Background: The physical and mental exhaustion of health care workers urgently needs to be addressed as a public health priority. Benefits of music on stress parameters have been extensively reported.

Methods: We carried out a systematic review to examine the efficacy of music interventions on stress parameters by selecting studies conducted in genuine care stress conditions.

Effect of self-reported clinician experience level on perceptions of the relative rankings of risk factors for biological complications with dental implant therapy.

Statement Of Problem: The effect of clinician experience on the perception of risks for biological complications associated with dental implant therapy is unknown.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine whether clinician experience levels, as assessed by the number of implants placed and/or restored, as well as by type of clinical experience (restorative/prosthodontic and/or surgical), influence the perception of risk for biological complications with dental implant therapy.

Material And Methods: A 10-item survey instrument was developed that asked participants from a convenience sample to rank different risk factors for peri-implant complications in the areas of patient history, clinical findings, and clinician choices and postimplant placement findings.

Transient perivascular inflammation of the carotid artery (TIPIC) syndrome.

: The Transient Perivascular Inflammation of the Carotid artery (TIPIC) syndrome is presumably a very rare disease characterized by a local transient inflammation of the tissue around the carotid artery. Its pathophysiology remains unknown. We performed an updated study of TIPIC syndrome cases in the setting of a multinational collaborative study.

TIPIC Syndrome: Beyond the Myth of Carotidynia, a New Distinct Unclassified Entity.

Background And Purpose: The differential diagnosis of acute cervical pain includes nonvascular and vascular causes such as carotid dissection, carotid occlusion, or vasculitis. However, some patients present with unclassified vascular and perivascular changes on imaging previously reported as carotidynia. The aim of our study was to improve the description of this as yet unclassified clinico-radiologic entity.

Ten influenza seasons in France: distribution and timing of influenza A and B circulation, 2003-2013.

Background: Describing the circulation of influenza viruses and the characteristics of seasonal epidemics remains an essential tool to optimize the strategies of influenza prevention and control. Special attention has been recently paid to influenza B in the context of the availability of a quadrivalent vaccine, containing two influenza B strains.

Methods: We used data from a practitioners-based influenza surveillance network to describe the circulation of influenza viruses in France from 2003-2004 to 2012-2013.

[The French Committee for the prevention and control of influenza and the 2009 influenza pandemic: Lessons learnt].

The Committee for the Prevention and Control of Influenza (Comité de lutte contre la Grippe - CLCG) is an advisory committee to the French Health Minister for a medical and scientific collective expertise on the measures to be implemented to control or to reduce the impact of an epidemic or a pandemic of influenza. Appointed by decree, the CLCG consists of ex-officio members; representatives of French Agencies strongly involved by influenza and qualified personalities, representing various fields of expertise. Collective expertise is based on consensus after thorough collective discussion.

[General practice and surveillance: the example of influenza in France].

[Evaluation of the efficacy and tolerance of naftidrofuryl in patients presenting with exertional angina. Multicenter double-blind versus placebo study].

Background: In the BIGPRO 1 trial, one year of treatment with metformin in non-diabetic obese subjects with a central fat distribution had no significant effect on fasting plasma triglyceride concentration or on blood pressure despite a decrease in weight, fasting plasma insulin and glucose concentrations. To re-evaluate the effect of metformin on fasting triglyceride concentration and on blood pressure, the BIGPRO 1.2 trial included non-diabetic men (n=168) with a fasting plasma triglyceride concentration > or =1.

The effect of naftidrofuryl on transcutaneous oxygen tension during a treadmill test in patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease.

Tissue hypoxaemia can be evaluated by the noninvasive method of transcutaneous oxygen tension (tcpO2) measurement in patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD). The effects of naftidrofuryl (Praxilene) on exercise-induced tissue ischaemia was objectively assessed by continuously measuring the tcpO2 in 30 patients during three treadmill tests over a 3-month period in a randomized double-blind, placebo controlled, parallel group study. To be included in the study, the tcpO2 and total walking distance had to be stable during the washout period (D-15-D0).
