Surgical management of a transverse vaginal septum: About a rare case.

Introduction: The transverse vaginal septum is a rare anomaly of the müllerian ducts whose pathophysiology is linked to a defect in the resorption of the embryological tissue located between the vaginal dome and the caudal terminal part of the fused müllerian ducts.

Case Presentation: We report a rare case of a permeable transverse vaginal septum in a 41-year-old patient, who consulted for cyclic pelvic pain.

Discussion: The vaginal septum is a rare anomaly of the Müllerian ducts whose approximate frequency is around 1/70,000 women.

Tuberculosis of the breast is a very rare infection; it occurs chiefly in women of childbearing potential, usually as an apparently primary infection and constitutes a diagnosis and therapeutic challenge. Measuring Patient Value after Total Shoulder Arthroplasty.

Evaluating the value of health care is of paramount importance to keep improving patients' quality of life and optimizing associated costs. Our objective was to present a calculation method based on Michael Porter's formula and standard references to estimate patient value delivered by total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA). We retrospectively reviewed the records of 116 consecutive TSAs performed between June 2015 and June 2019.

Self-Limited Accumulation of Colloids in Porous Media.

We present local direct imaging of the progressive adsorption of colloidal particles inside a 3D model porous medium. By varying the interparticle electrostatic interactions, we observe a large range of particle deposition regimes, from a single layer of particles at the surface of the medium to multiple layers and eventually clogging of the system. We derive the complete deposition dynamics and show that colloid accumulation is a self-limited mechanism towards a deposited fraction associated with a balance between the particle interactions and the imposed flow rate.
