A modified approach to portal placement for arthroscopic management of osteochondritis dissecans lesions of the tarsocrural joint in 15 dogs (19 tarsi).

Objective: To describe the surgical technique and outcomes of arthroscopic treatment for talar osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) in dogs, using scope and instrument portals placed on the same side of the joint as the lesion.

Study Design: Retrospective case series.

Animals: Fifteen client-owned dogs (19 tarsi).

Left pancreaticoduodenostomy after removal of the right lobe and the head of the pancreas in a cat.

Objective: To report a surgical technique for pancreaticoduodenostomy and its outcomes in a cat.

Excellent long-term clinical outcome in a young athletic dog following surgical complications of a comminuted patellar fracture and patellar ligament rupture.

A 1-year-old athletic golden retriever dog was presented for a non-weight-bearing right pelvic limb lameness that occurred during a canicross race. Orthopedic examination revealed pain and inflammation of the right stifle joint. Radiographs showed a traumatic comminuted patellar fracture.

Removal of lower urinary tract stones by percutaneous cystolithotomy: 68 cases (2012-2017).

Objective: To describe the use and outcome of percutaneous cystolithotomy (PCCL) for removal of urethral and bladder stones in dogs and cats.

Study Design: Retrospective case series.

Animals: Sixty-eight client-owned dogs and cats.

Management of Polyarthritis Affecting Sea Turtles at Kélonia, the Reunion Island Sea Turtle Observatory (2013-17).

All sea turtle species are listed on the Red List of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature due to multiple threats. Among these, disease is a frequent cause of stranded sea turtles encountered in rehabilitation centers. Since 2013, we found joint swelling in 13 sea turtles belonging to all four sea turtle species submitted to the Kélonia Sea Turtle Observatory of Reunion Island, France.
