Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) enables the efficient production of near-net-shape oxide dispersion-strengthened (ODS) alloys, which possess superior mechanical properties due to oxide nanoparticles (e.g., yttrium oxide, Y-O, and yttrium-titanium oxide, Y-Ti-O) embedded in the alloy matrix.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of Obstetric Life Support (OBLS) education on health care professionals' cognitive performance, skills, and self-efficacy in managing MCA.
Oxide-dispersion-strengthened (ODS) steels have long been viewed as a prime solution for harsh environments. However, conventional manufacturing of ODS steels limits the final product geometry, is difficult to scale up to large components, and is expensive due to multiple highly involved, solid-state processing steps required. Additive manufacturing (AM) can directly incorporate dispersion elements (e.

Internationally, researchers have called for studies to understand deterioration risk factors to inform clinical risk tool development.
Methods: Multicentre cohort study of hospitalised patients with COVID-19 (n=3671) exploring determinants of health, including Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) subdomains, as risk factors for presentation, deterioration and mortality by ethnicity.
Objective: To study the frequency of venous thromboembolism in hospitalised patients with COVID-19 and correlation with the D-dimers and thromboprophylaxis.
Design: Cross-sectional descriptive study.
Place And Duration Of Study: Queen Elizabeth Hospital, 20 April 2020-13 May 2020.

Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome represents a severe adverse drug reaction driven by eosinophilia. Treatment is focused on withdrawal of medication, supportive care and immunosuppression such as high-dose corticosteroid therapy. Here we report a 56-year-old male patient who initially presented with breathlessness and eosinophilia, subsequent development of respiratory failure and admission to ITU for non-invasive ventilation.

The protocol derives practical benefit from the ease and convenience of the isolation and subsequent use of the discrete borate salts, eliminates the need for additional base, and aids the use of correct reaction stoichiometry.

The tether conjoining the radical donor to the pyridine plays an important role in determining the outcome of the reaction. When a Z-alkene is used as a tether, ortho-cyclisation proceeds in good yield.
