The efficacy of checkpoint inhibitors was recently demonstrated in gastrointestinal malignancies with mismatch repair deficiencies (dMMR). We sought to determine the percentage of individuals who would be eligible for high risk cancer screening or genetic referral and testing if family history includes an extended (vs limited) family history.
Methods: Family histories were obtained from 626 women at UVMMC associated mammography centers from 2001 to 2002.
Perchlorate is ubiquitous in the environment, leading to human exposure and potential impact on thyroid function. Nitrate can also competitively inhibit iodide uptake at the sodium-iodide symporter and thus reduce thyroid hormone production. This study investigates the intake of perchlorate, nitrate, and iodide attributable to direct and indirect tap water consumption.

Gonadal steroids may alter the valence or perceived context of the signal so that the same pheromone, vocalization, or visual display may elicit very different responses depending on the receiver's plasma hormone level. The neural processes underlying this phenomenon, however, are not well understood.
