Background: Percutaneous endoscopic unilateral laminotomy and bilateral decompression (Endo-ULBD) has been applied to patients with lumbar spinal canal stenosis (LSS). However, it remains unclear whether gait and postural balance in LSS patients fully recover to normal levels following ULBD surgery.
Methods: This retrospective study included 60 symptomatic LSS patients (LSS group) and 60 healthy age-matched adults (control group).

Objectives: To investigate the distribution, clinical characteristics, and factors associated with musculoskeletal pain in a large sample of patients with PD.
Background: Pain is common in Parkinson's disease, and there is no effective treatment. We conducted a clinical trial to determine whether high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation over the primary motor cortex alleviates musculoskeletal pain in patients with Parkinson's disease.
Methods: In this single-center and double-blind trial, 52 patients with Parkinson's disease and musculoskeletal pain were randomly allocated to 26-member groups receiving 5 sessions of either 20-Hz repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation or sham stimulation over the primary motor cortex.
Background: The emerging role of inflammation in the initiation and maintenance of neuropathic pain has been confirmed. Previous studies have reported that miR138 has neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effects in animal models of spinal cord injury and in human coronary artery endothelial cell injury, while its effect on neuropathic pain is still not known. As the mechanism of neuropathic pain remains unclear, we investigated whether miR138 is involved in the development of neuropathic pain and the role of miR138 in the modulation of inflammation in the spinal cord in a mouse model of neuropathic pain induced by spared sciatic nerve injury (SNI).
