Introduction: Insufficient cerebral perfusion pressure (CPP) after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage can impair cerebral blood flow. We examined the temporal profiles of CPP change and tested whether these profiles were associated with delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI).
Method: CPP values were retrospectively reviewed for 238 subjects.

Methods: DCI was defined as neurological deterioration due to impaired cerebral blood flow.
We used a target-centric strategy to identify transporter proteins upregulated in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) as potential targets for a functional imaging probe to complement existing anatomical imaging approaches. We performed transcriptomic profiling (microarray and RNASeq) on histologically confirmed primary PDAC tumors and normal pancreas tissue from 33 patients, including five patients whose tumors were not visible on computed tomography. Target expression was confirmed with immunohistochemistry on tissue microarrays from 94 PDAC patients.

Leaves extracts exhibited a higher antioxidant activity than stems extract, through oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) and cellular antioxidant activity (CAA) assays. Stevioside and rebaudioside A, the main sweetening metabolites in stevia leaves, exhibited a low ORAC value in comparison with plant extracts, while did not elicit any CAA.

Methods: This large, longitudinal cohort study was composed of postmenopausal women with early-stage breast cancer who received chemotherapy plus anastrozole (n = 114) or anastrozole alone (n = 173) and a control group (n = 110). Cognitive function was assessed before systemic therapy and 6, 12, and 18 months after therapy initiation and at comparable time points in controls.

Here, we asked whether GADA affinity is a useful marker to stratify the risk of type 1 diabetes in GADA-positive schoolchildren from the general population.
Methods: GADA affinity was measured by competitive binding experiments with [(125)I]-labelled and unlabelled human 65 kDa isoform of GAD (GAD65) in sera from 97 GADA-positive children identified in the Karlsburg Type 1 Diabetes Risk Study of a general schoolchild population in north-eastern Germany.
Coated TiO2 nanoparticles by dicationic imidazolium-based ionic liquids (ILs) were prepared and studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic light scattering (DLS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Three ILs with different hydrophobicity degrees and structural characteristics were used (IL-1, IL-2, and IL-3).
