- The study aimed to assess the sexual function of Tunisian women with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) compared to healthy controls, using the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) to identify dysfunction levels.
- Among the women with RA, 49.3% experienced sexual dysfunction, significantly higher than the 23.9% in the control group, especially in the areas of desire, arousal, and satisfaction.
- Pain was identified as the primary predictor of sexual dysfunction in RA patients, while self-perception indicated that 26.1% felt RA negatively affected their sex life.
