Retinal changes involving the structure and function of the ganglion cell layer are increasingly documented in both established and prodromal AD. Visual event-related potentials (vERP) are sensitive to dysfunction in the magno- and parvocellular visual systems, which originate within the retinal ganglion cell layer.

CVN058, a brain-penetrant, potent and selective 5-HTR antagonist, shows efficacy in rodent models of cognition and was well-tolerated in Phase-1 studies. We evaluated the target engagement of CVN058 using mismatch negativity (MMN) in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over study.

The physicochemical and pharmacokinetic properties of drugs can be modified by preparing the drug in an appropriate solid-state form. A new solvate of furosemide with dimethylacetamide (DMA) {systematic name: 4-chloro-2-[(furan-2-yl)methylamino]-5-sulfamoylbenzoic acid N,N-dimethylacetamide disolvate}, CHClNOS·2CHNO, (I), is reported.

The inhibition of the calcium ions flow through the membranes of smooth muscle cells of blood vessels causes peripheral, cerebral, renal and coronary vasodilation decreasing total peripheral vascular resistance and, consequently, blood pressure (BP) lowering and improve regional circulation. During reception of lercanidipine the level of norepinephrine remains the same even when using high doses of the drug.
