Increased levels of chemicals in blood causes microcirculation disorders in renal cortex, direct toxic effect in nephrons, suppresses activity of anitoxidant defense on cellular and systemic levels. The authors specified pathogenetically based complex of clinical and laboratory diagnostic markers of chronic kidney diseases associated with exposure to metals (cadmium, chromium, lead) and oxygen-containing (phenol) organic compounds.
