Aims: To identify the cardiac biogenic amine profile of obese rats and associate these compounds with parameters of cardiovascular disease.
Main Methods: Wistar rats (n = 20) were randomly distributed into two groups: control and obese. Obesity was induced by a high-sugar fat diet.

Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the major cause of mortality worldwide, whose most prominent risk factor is unhealthy eating habits, such as high fructose intake. Biogenic amines (BAs) perform important functions in the human body. However, the effect of fructose consumption on BA levels is still unclear, as is the association between these and CVD risk factors.

Low-grade chronic inflammation in obesity is associated with leptin resistance. In order to alleviate this pathological condition, bioactive compounds capable of attenuating oxidative stress and inflammation have been researched, and bergamot (Citrus bergamia) presents these properties. The aim was to evaluate the effect of bergamot leaves extract on leptin resistance in obese rats.

This study aims to identify banana and plantain genotypes with a high content of resistant starch, phenolic compounds and minerals, and to evaluate the impact of the ripening stage and domestic thermal processing to select superior genotypes with high levels of functional compounds. In this study, it was used bunches of bananas and plantain genotypes.

The pulp and peel of 20 banana and plantain were analyzed and the bioactive amine content varied according to the genotype, ripening stage, fruit tissue and thermal processing. In most of the analyzed genotypes, tyramine, histamine, dopamine, serotonin, spermidine, and spermine were decreased during the ripening process in the pulps.

Obesity is considered an important risk factor for several disorders, such as diabetes mellitus, systemic arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia, and atherosclerosis, which are associated with inflammation and oxidative stress as a trigger factor. contains important bioactive compounds, such as phenolics, carotenoids, vitamin C, and polyamines in pulp, leaves, seeds, and bark. : To evaluate the effect of bark of (BPe) on body composition, and metabolic and oxidative stress parameters in genetically obese mice.

In particular, the paper focuses on how safety issues were framed, which decisions were made, and what are the distinctive features of Vision Zero. The analysis reveals that the decision by the Swedish Parliament to adopt Vision Zero as Sweden's road safety policy was a radical innovation.

The study shows that even if the both systems technically have the same aim--to reduce speeding--the ideas of how that should be achieved differ substantially. The approach adopted in Victoria is based on the concept that speeding is a deliberate offence in which a rational individual wants to drive as fast as possible and is prepared to calculate the costs and benefits of his behaviour.

To assess the clinical usefulness, accuracy, and safety of telemanipulation for frameless stereotactic surgery using the CAS-BH5 robot system, we prospectively evaluated 10 patients (age: 5-79 years; mean: 44 years) who underwent telemanipulation frameless stereotactic operations from September to December 2005. The CAS-BH5 robot system consists of three main parts: a planning subsystem, a surgical localization subsystem, and a telemanipulation subsystem. Specifically, CAS-BH5 is capable of network communication, video transmission, graphic simulation and human-machine interaction, and thus facilitates remote planning and transmission of neuronavigation data, monitoring and manipulating.
