The E6 and E7 proteins of the high risk human papillomaviruses (HR HPVs) play a key role in the oncogenesis associated with papillomavirus infection. Data on the variability of these proteins are limited, and the factors affecting their variability are still poorly understood. We analyzed the variability of the currently known sequences of the HPV type 16 (HPV16) E6 and E7 proteins, taking into account their geographic origin and year of sample collection, as well as the direction of their evolution in the major geographic regions of the world.

In particular, BNs are considered prospective delivery vehicles for different biologics, including protein and RNA therapeutics. Moreover, EVs are widely used in molecular diagnostics for early detection of disease-associated proteins and RNA.

The expression of these cytokines in HIV-1/TB coinfection is still understudied. Here, we aimed to compare the production of proinflammatory cytokines in drug-naive patients coinfected with HIV-1 and (HIV/TB) compared to patients with respective monoinfections.

Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) is thought to be triggered by increased osmolarity at the airway epithelium. The aim of this study was to define the contractile prostanoid component of EIB, using an ex vivo model where intact segments of bronchi (inner diameter 0.5-2 mm) isolated from human lung tissue and subjected to mannitol.

Carcinogenic viruses include Epstein- Barr virus (EBV), high-risk human papillomaviruses (HPVs), hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1), human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1, indirectly), and several candidate human cancer viruses. It is estimated that 15% of all human tumors worldwide are caused by viruses.

Numerous test systems utilizing various antigen composition(s) are routinely used for detection and quantitation of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. We determined their diagnostic specificity using archived true-negative samples collected before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite T-lymphocyte population heterogeneity, there is no clear vision of general mechanisms of decidua T-lymphocyte pool formation. One of the assumed variants is T-lymphocyte proliferation .

This complication results prolonged hospital-stay, significant increase in treatment cost and high mortality (up to 75%). Severe COVID-19 pneumonia is often manifested by coughing, that impairs sternum stability after osteosynthesis.

NK cells can have contact with trophoblast cells during pregnancy, which raises the possibility of mutual influence. This research aimed to evaluate the proliferation and phenotype of peripheral blood NK cells in the presence of trophoblast cells of the JEG-3 cell line.

NK cells present in different organs differ by their functional characteristics, in particular, proliferative activity. For studying tissue-resident NK cells, tissue-specific microenvironment should be reproduced. In case of decidual NK cells, this microenvironment is created by trophoblast cells.

Secretory products of third trimester placentas obtained from women with normal pregnancy reduced the relative number of THP-1 cells expressing CD54 and CD14 molecules and expression of CD14 and CD95 molecules by THP-1 cells in comparison with the effect of secretory products first trimester placentas. In parallel, the intensity of CD49d expression by THP-1 cells increased in the presence of secretory products of third trimester placentas in comparison with the first trimester.

The structure of the hypothalamo-hypophysial neurosecretory system (HHNS) has been studied light optically in the Arvicola terrestris that possesses a specific reduction of the concentrating renal function. There are neurosecretory cells (NSC) with cytoplasmic vacuoles in the hypothalamic supraoptic (SON) and paraventricular (PVN) nuclei that secrete antidiuretic hormone. These cells are situated mainly in the caudal part of the nucleus and, evidently, perform an osmoreceptory function.

Under the condition of a seven-day dehydration, the neurosecretory material reduction in all links of HHNS, enlargement of neurosecretory cell nuclei and nucleoli, intensification of hyperemia were found. With the increase in dehydration time to 23 days a progressive reduction of neurosecretory material in cell processes and hypophysis are seen.
