Persistent hyperglycemia after intraperitoneal injection of streptozocin (50 mg/kg) to the rats prevents decrease of coronary vessels myogenic tone and myocardial contractility during subsequent 6-hr immobilization stress. The intensity of these abnormalities in all experimental groups is significantly reduced with the supplement of the perfusate with inducible NO-synthase (iNOS) selective blocker S-methylisothiourea. Similar rise of the NO2-/NO3- concentration in the rats' blood after "stress", "diabetes mellitus" and "diabetes mellitus + stress" combines with an increase of iNOS transcripts in the myocardium to 6, 5.

Unlabelled: The aim of current study was to evaluate in complex the effectiveness of transvaginal mesh implants in women with obstructed defecation (OD) syndrome based on the comparison of preoperative and postoperative results of objective diagnostic tools and quality of life parameters.

Methods: from prospectively collected database of patients treated in our department those who were treated for OD by means of transvaginally placed mesh implants were chosen. The comparison of pre- and postoperative results of objective evaluation (prolapse stage according to POP-Q system, X-ray defecography - XR-DG and MRI defecography - MRI-DG) as well quality of life parameters (Wexner constipation score and validated Russian version of King's Health Questionnaire) was undertaken.

A 6-hour immobilization stress and a 2-hour posthaemorrhagic hypotension caused elevation of the coronary flow, deterioration of coronary autoregulation, decreasing of the coronary dilation reserve, and diminishing of the left ventricular pressure. In the "stress + haemorrhage" group, the changes of the coronary vessels autoregulation ability were less obvious. Concentration of NO3-/NO2- in the blood serum was elevated after stress.

The results of examination of 47 patients with confirmed diagnosis of cancer of the stomach (21 patients) or 26 suspects were analyzed. 2-4 hours after oral taking of Alasence in the dose 5-10 mg/kg, gastroscopy with spectrofluorescence analysis of ALA-induced protoporphyrin IX was performed. There were no toxic complications due to Alasence taking.

The identification of Gram-negative pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria commonly isolated from an orchard phylloplane may result in a time consuming and tedious process for the plant pathologist. The paper provides a simple "one-step" protocol that uses the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to amplify intergenic spacer regions between 16S and 23S genes and a portion of 16S gene in the prokaryotic rRNA genetic loci. Amplified 16S rDNA, and restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLP) following EcoRI digestion produced band patterns that readily distinguished between the plant pathogen Erwinia amylovora (causal agent of fire blight in pear and apple) and the orchard epiphyte Pantoea agglomerans (formerly E.

The article represents materials describing examination of 540 workers engaged into mass poultry farming and characterizing the risk factors of neurovascular disorders. The authors identified the disorders' peculiarities of prevalence and pathogenetic mechanisms associated with lipid peroxidation and activity of antioxidant defence system.

Histologic, histochemical, electron-microscopic and ultracytochemical studies of cellular populations of the endometrial stroma and the vascular component, carried out in 33 women of a productive age in various phases of the cycle (on days 5-28) showed interactions of the cellular elements (fibroblast-like cells, predecidual cells, endometrial granulocytes, endotheliocytes, cells of a hematogenic origin) within and between the populations over the course of the cycle; all the cells were found functionally heterogenic, this underlying the endometrial homeostasis maintenance. Disturbances in any of the components of these interactions may result in a pathologic process in the uterine body mucosa.

Structural hemoglobinopathy due to carriage of Hb Camden was diagnosed in a male patient and his mother. Anomalous Hb was detected after a detailed analysis of the clinical evidence, blood smears microscopy, marrow examination, data obtained by a complex of methods to identify unstable Hb. It was defined as Hb Camden beta 131 GLN-->GLU.

ECG parameters were examined in 62 families with a history of arterial hypertension. A genetical-and-dispersion analysis of ECG parameters were made. There was a high genetic determination with X-chromosomal effect, R-R interval duration, and Makruse index values.

The presence of dissimilar metal incorporations in the mouth leads to the formation of local immune response, manifesting by increased levels of secretory IgA, IgM and IgG in the saliva. Though to essential differences in the mean values of the immunity parameters are detectable, the findings of discrete-dynamic analysis of the immune profile of subjects with dissimilar metal incorporations in the oral cavity evidence a complex alteration of the humoral immunity.

Arterial pressure was studied by ++tacho-oscillography, and the central and peripheral hemodynamics were examined by tetrapolar rheography in members of 62 families with essential arterial hypertension. A geneticodispersion analysis was made of phenotypic dispersion of the parameters under study. The genetic determinant with an X-chromosome effect was established for minimal and lateral systolic pressure; that with a maternal effect for mean pressure.

Clinico-morphologic parameters are described in 18 patients of reproductive age before and after hormonal treatment. There was no clear-cut correlation between morphofunctional endometrial state and endometrioid heterotopies. It did not seem possible to identify the phase of the cycle on the basis of the structural pattern of retrocervical endometriosis.

A comparative and electron microscopic study was made of cervical tissue in 19 female patients with pseudoerosion, chronic endocervicitis and dysplasia with varying severity. The areas of dysplasia revealed cellular elements characteristic of squamous metaplasia, which suggested mild dysplasia arisen in mature and immature squamous metaplasia, severe dysplasia resulted in atypical immature metaplasia. The characteristics of a cellular population in dysplasia may be used to define the severity of the pathological process in question.

A new classification of lens dislocations is proposed, differing from the previous ones by inclusion of all clinico-anatomic changes taking place in lens dislocation, all possible complications and associated pathology. The classification takes into consideration clinical symptoms in lens dislocation, the degree of transparency of the lens and the vitreous body, the state of intraocular pressure, changes in the iris and the eye fundus. On the basis of the suggested classification the diagnosis is easily codified, the data can be subjected to a machine working up.

Ultrastructural and ultracytochemical characteristics of glandular epithelium of endometrium in 10 women with two-phase cycle were studied. Secretory transformation of glandular epithelium at ultrastructural level is manifested by deposits of glycogen in cytoplasm, giant mitochondria, hypertrophic Golgi complex and nuclear channel system. In organ endometrial cultures formation of the nuclear channel system at the stage of proliferation is induced by progesterone.
