Profiling of non-criteria antiphospholipid antibodies in patients with SLE: differentiation of thrombotic SLE patients and risk of recurrence of thrombosis.

To reveal the clinical significance of criteria and non-criteria antiphospholipid antibodies detected by line immunoassay in comparison with ELISA, systemic lupus erythematosus patients with and without thrombotic events were investigated. Thus, 107 systemic lupus erythematosus patients (48% with deep vein thrombosis or/and arterial thrombosis) and 120 healthy donors were enrolled. Serum antiphospholipid antibodies were detected by ELISA (Orgentec Diagnostika, Germany) and line immunoassay (GA Generic Assays, Germany).

[Autoimmune encephalitis].

The authors consider the issues related to pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune encephalitis. It has been demonstrated that the development of autoimmune encephalitis can be associated with the oncologic process or be of idiopathic character. The pathogenesis of autoimmune encephalitis is caused by the production of antibodies that directly or indirectly (via T-cell mechanism) damage exo-and/or endocellular structures of the nerve cells.

[Palivizumab: four seasons in Russia].

In 2010, the Russian Federation (RF) registered palivizumab--innovative drug, based on monoclonal antibodies for passive immunization of seasonal respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection in children of disease severe progress risk group, which include primarily premature infants, children with bronchopulmonary dysplasia and hemodynamically significant congenital heart disease. Currently, palivizumab is included in the list of recommended medicines and medical care standards of different countries, including Russia. In the review the results of Russian research on the progress of RSV infection, its epidemiology and immunization experience gained over the 2010-2014 period are summarized in relation to the foreign data.

[Peculiarities of physical growth and body composition of preterm infants, received different types of feeding, at the discharge from hospital].

Background: This article is devoted to a research and practice problem--optimization of feeding preterm infants.

Patients And Methods: 80 preterm infants of different GA with perinatal pathology were included in the study group. Anthropometric figures of weight and length z-scores and also BMI of preterm infants, received different types of feedings, at the discharge are presented.

[Evaluation of premature infants nutritional status by air plethysmography: first Russian prospective study].

In this article results of first Russian study on premature infants body composition in association with trend of their physical development within the first month and according to way of feeding. 30 preterm newborns without signs of intrauterine hypotrophy at birth with gestational age less than 35 month were examined by air body plethysmography. The infants were examined reaching term corrected age.

[Inhibition of Bcl-2 stimulates neuronal stem proliferation in organotypic cultures of mice hippocampus].

In the current study, we investigated the participation of Bcl-2 in both processes of hippocampus neuronal stem cells (NSC) proliferation and differentiation. Present experiments are performed on organotypic cultures of mice hippocampus. A selective inhibitor Bcl-2 HA14-1 (10 μM) is supplied in incubating medium and the concentration is maintained at a constant level.

[Thoracoscopic treatment of esophageal atresia in infants].

Atresia of esophagus result in absolute lethality without surgical treatment. Posterolateral thoracotomy is a traditional access during such operations, however thoracoscopic methods esophageal atresia has come into practice. Since 2008 all infants (n=22) in our clinic with esophageal atresia have been operated on thoracoscopically.

[Infra-red spectrometry in oral liquid study for diagnostic purposes].

Infra-red (IR) spectrometry of the saliva was done by means of specially developed hardware-software complex. It was established, that in 9 wide ranges of the IR-spectrum there were diverse fluctuations of transmittance that characterize intermolecular interactions of various molecules associated with water and metabolites of biological systems. The found fluctuations were characterized quantitatively by dispersion of transmittance coefficients.

[Clinico-morphological variants of gastric mucosa atrophic lesions].

Aim: To characterize clinicomorphological manifestations of atrophic process (AP) in gastric mucosa (GM) in chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) associated and not associated with Helicobacter pylori infection.

[The novel method of assessment of individual total cardiovascular risk for the population of Russia].

Novel innovative technology of assessment of level of total cardiovascular risk with consideration of a broad list of parameters of the state of individual health and its determining factors is described. The proposed model of risk is based on results of 20-year prospective observation of large contingents of population of Russia. For the first time the model of risk was constructed taking into account in addition to traditional risk factors and clinical characteristics peculiarities of population of Russia, in particular level of education.

[Delayed effect of exorphins on learning of albino rat pups].

The delayed effect of food-derived opioid peptides (exorphins) after chronic administration on postnatal days 1-14 on the learning of albino rat pups has been studied. Heptapeptide YPFPGPI (beta-casomorphin-7), pentapeptide YPLDL (rubiscolin-5) and pentapeptide YPISL (exorphin C) improved the development of the conditioned foraging reflex in a complex maze. Hexapeptide PFPGPI lacking the N-terminal tyrosine proved inefficient.

[High-frequency oscillatory lung ventilation in neonatal infants with surgical diseases].

The paper presents data on the varieties and modes of the present artificial ventilation and high-frequency artificial ventilation (AV). It describes the basic impact of various ventilation modes on gas exchange, hemodynamics, and mechanical lung properties. The data on the use of high-frequency AV in neonatal infants with various surgical diseases are given.

[Investigation of the tissue growth processes in porous implant].

Investigation of the cell (osteocytes, fibroblasts and keratinocytes) adhesion and penetration in pores of the titanium pylon in vivo on the laboratory animals (Wistar rats) has been performed. The titanium pylon has been implanted in bone of a rat's thigh residuum. Electronic scanning and morphological analysis demonstrated the certain integration of the pylon with the surrounding tissues.

[Particular features of clinical and morphological manifestations of the atrophic process in the mucous coat of the stomach in case of absence and presence of infection with Helicobacter pylori (first stage)].

A clinical and endoscopic examination and morphological study of gastrobiopsies were conducted in 62 patients with Helicobacter (H.) pylori-negative and -positive chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) to study the manifestations of the atrophic process in the mucous coat of the stomach (MCS) and stages of its progression in terms of pre-cancerous changes (second stage). The MCS atrophy is characterized by considerable frequency of concomitant endocrinopathies, connective tissue dysplasia, systemic lesions of the mucous coats of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as morphologically diverse disorders of proliferation and differentiation.

[Influence of acute and chronic administrations of beta-casomorphins on the maternal motivation in albino rats].

The influence of food-derived opioid peptides beta-casomorphines on the manifestation of nursing albino rats maternal behavior was investigated. It was shown that both acute and chronic (during the postnatal period) administration of beta-casomorphin-7 (Tyr-Pro-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro), the typical representative of this group of peptides, decreases the level of the parental motivation. The effects of beta-casomorphin-7 were naloxone-dependent; N-terminal-reduced analogues had a significantly lesser activity.

[Use of meloxicam (movalis) in patients with rheumatic diseases with concomitant coronary heart disease].

The purpose of the study was to examine the clinical features of the course of coronary heart disease (CHD) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to evaluate the effects of the selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COG-2) inhibitor movalis (meloxicam) in two dosage forms (as injections and tablets) on the course of CHD in this group of patients. The developed questionnaire was used to make a comparative screening survey of 304 patients with RA and 152 patients with osteoarthrosis (OA), who were aged above 40 years. A comprehensive examination of the cardiovascular system was performed in 52 patients with RA concurrent with CHD and 25 patients with OA concurrent with CHD.

[Nutritional therapy in children during perioperative period].

The efficiency of nutritive therapy was analyzed in cases of 37 patients with gastrointestinal pathologies. Group 1 comprised 12 patients with fistulas of different etiologies and localizations; and group 2 comprised 15 patients with esophageal pathologies, including 7 children with esophageal atresia and 8 children with post-burn cicatricial stenosis of the esophagus. A method of nutrition-status correction by means of both enteral and parenteral feeding is suggested on the basis of examination findings comprising both clinical and laboratory-and-instrumental data.
