The development of films, scaffolds, hydrogels, and other innovations based on biopolymers for the treatment of skin injuries is on the rise. Therefore, it is important to focus on their functionality, influence on human use, and environmental impact. This work investigates the antimicrobial capacity of gelatin films that incorporate O/W emulsions encapsulating bactericidal and healing active ingredients (EA).
