- Item analysis is essential for evaluating the quality of test questions, specifically the Routine Blood Transfusion Knowledge Questionnaire (RBTKQ-2) in this study.
- Out of 305 nurses who completed the questionnaire, 3% found one item easy, while 47% found 15 items moderately difficult, and 50% found 16 items difficult; the majority of the items were effective at differentiating knowledge levels.
- The new optimized version, RBTKQ-O, was developed using insights from the item analysis to address past limitations, making it suitable for researchers and academics globally.
