Background: Food insecurity is an important aspect of human suffering during wartime. Besides its ferocity, the Gaza conflict of 2023-2024 has been marked by severe food and medication shortages that exacerbated the human toll and worsened the suffering of the population.
Methods: A cross-sectional, mixed methods study that in April 2024 collected quantitative and qualitative data to assess food insecurity and malnutrition among residents of the Northern part of the Gaza Strip during the first seven months of the war.
Background: The Gaza Strip has been embroiled in a violent military assault since October 2023, with an immense toll on the civilian population. Armed conflicts threaten the mental health of affected communities and survivors, and psychiatric morbidity increases with forced displacement and with severe and recurrent trauma. This study investigates the prevalence and predisposing factors of depression, anxiety, stress, and PTSD symptoms in a group of young adult students from the Gaza Strip during the war.

Methods: This cross-sectional and follow-up study recruited 108 patient-caregiver dyads after the first-ever stroke.
Background: A major component of emergency medical care is blood. The Gaza Strip has faced repeated wars over the last few years, emphasizing the importance of blood donation even more. This study aims to assess medical students' knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding voluntary blood donation in Gaza (VBD).

Methods: Women who underwent CS were recruited consecutively. Communication offered to women, adherence to Venous thromboembolism (VTE), and its limiting factors were surveyed.
Objectives: Healthcare workers are at high risk of contracting hepatitis B virus (HBV). This survey aimed to identify the gaps and strengths in the knowledge, attitudes and practices of healthcare workers towards HBV to drive appropriate health interventions.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted between March and April 2022.
Unlabelled: Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is a major cause of acute flaccid paralysis that is encountered in all geographical areas. Very limited data about this syndrome has been reported from the Arab countries. This study is the first one trying to describe the clinical features and management outcomes of GBS in the Jordanian population.

Despite the numerous measures undertaken to improve their wellbeing, it is still unknown if limiting the work shift duration would improve sleep quality. We sought to compare sleep quality, anxiety, and depression before and after implementing duty hour limits.

We conducted a prospective, single-center cohort study in Irbid, North Jordan. All patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke and SARS-CoV-2 infection were consecutively recruited from October 15, 2020, to October 16, 2021.

The pure sensory variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome "GBS" is controversial. Scarce case reports in the literature have described pure sensory presentations secondary to acute demyelination of peripheral sensory nerves. Pure sensory GBS secondary to axonal damage is rarer and even more controversial owing to a significant overlap with sensory neuronopathy.

Purpose: Focal signs are a big deal in neurology and are among the most important clues leading to diagnosis and localization. Wernekink commissure syndrome is due to lesions in the caudal paramedian midbrain involving the entire decussation of the superior cerebellar peduncles, resulting in the clinical hallmark of a bilateral cerebellar syndrome.
Case Report: A 79-year-old man presented with sudden, severe unsteadiness associated with slurring of speech, binocular double vision, and bilateral hand tremor.
Objective: To identify the risk factors, etiologies, length of stay, severity, and predictors of disability among patients with the first ischemic stroke in Jordan.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study of 142 patients who were admitted to the Neurology Department at King Abdullah University Hospital between July/2017 and March/2018 with a first ischemic stroke. Etiology was classified according to the TOAST criteria.
Objective: Intracranial hemorrhage is a critical medical emergency. Nosocomial infections may promote worse outcomes in these vulnerable patients. This study investigated microbial features, predictors, and clinical outcomes of nosocomial infections among patients with multiple subtypes of intracranial hemorrhage.
