Diagnosis and Treatment of Fasciola Infection with Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) in Ardabil, Northwest of Iran: Two Case Reports.

Here we report biliary fascioliasis in two women 27 and 54 years old from Ardabil Province, Iran who presented with nausea, anorexia, weight loss, and pain between shoulder blades. Endoscopic ultrasound showed distal common bile duct strictures (CBD) and a lesion in its proximal. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) was performed and live parasites were diagnosed and successfully managed into the duodenal lumen.

Pulmonary Mucormycosis and hydatid cyst: A case report.

Mucormycosis is a group of life-threatening diseases caused by a fungus of the Mucoraceae family and has a higher mortality rate compared with other known fungal infections. Hydatid cyst, caused by Echinococcus, is a crucial health concern in endemic areas and the disease is characterized by slow-growing cysts in the liver, lungs, or other organs. In this report, a woman with coexistence of hydatid cyst and Mucormycosis is introduced.

Comparison of fluoxetine and duloxetine hydrochloride therapeutic effects on patients with constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome.

Aim: As few randomized clinical trials have verified the efficacy of selective and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors in IBS, the current study made an inclusive comparison between them, and their effectiveness in IBS-C was proven.

Background: Irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) is a functional bowel disorder characterized by changes in bowel movements and abdominal pain in the absence of identifiable structural abnormalities. Despite much progress in the treatment of other types of IBS, limited treatments are available for IBS-C.

Effect of weight losing on the clinical status improvement of patients with knee osteoarthritis.

Objective: Osteoarthritis causes severe pain and disability in joints, one of the most prevalent involved joints is the knee joint. There are several therapeutics ways to control pain and disability, but almost none of them are definite treatment. In this article, we tried to reveal the effect of weight loss on improving symptoms of knee osteoarthritis as an effective and permanent therapeutic approach.

Comparison of fenofibrate and pioglitazone effects on patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

Introduction: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is known to be a health-related problem; there is no proven treatment for NAFLD.
