Recently, gold nanoparticles (Au Nps) have gained tremendous attention for its unique properties as a safe nanocarrier for delivering drugs that are used in different disease diagnoses. Although silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) have been generally applied due to their strong antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antimicrobial properties, their toxicity is a subject of sustained debate, thus requiring further studies. The present study aims to evaluate the potential protective effect of gold nanoparticles and phthalocyanine-gold nanoconjugates (Pc-Au NCs) against the hepatorenal toxicity of silver nanoparticles in male rats.

Cadmium (Cd) is an environmental pollutant known as endocrine disruptor . Cd has been reported to induce perturbations of the testicular functions and the subsequent decline of the male fertility of both animals and humans. Chlorella vulgaris (ChV) a species of green microalga has been reported to have multiple beneficial activities such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiapoptotic effects.

Aim Of The Study: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is regarded as the most relevant liver disease of the twenty-first century, affecting at least one third of the general population. NAFLD is associated with increased mortality due to cardiovascular disease (CVD) and cancer. The carotid intimal media thickness (CIMT), mean platelet volume (MPV) and endocan level could be markers for generalised atherosclerotic burden and endothelial dysfunction.

Background: Functional hematopoiesis is governed by the bone marrow (BM) niche, which is compromised by radiotherapy, leading to radiation induced BM failure. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the radiation induced pathological remodeling of the niche and the efficacy of human umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUCB-MSCs) in restoring hematopoiesis via improvement of the niche.

Methods: Thirty male Wistar rats were equally assigned to three groups: control (CON), irradiated (IR), and IR+hUCB-MSCs.

The interaction (oblique collision) of two ion acoustic solitons (IASs) in a magnetized relativistic degenerate plasma with relativistic degenerate electrons and non-degenerate cold ions is studied. The extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (PLK) method is used to obtain two Korteweg deVries (KdV) wave equations that describe the interacting IASs, then the phase shifts due to interaction are calculated. We studied influence of the fluid number density on the interaction process, interacting solitons phase shifts and also phase velocities.

Objective: Regarding the displaying of the main differences between the pelvic limb of rabbit and cat.

Materials And Methods: Our work was performed on 10 New Zealand rabbits () and domestic cats () with variable ages and of both sexes. After weighing of the animals, sedation, and anesthesia, the animals were examined radiographically.

The head-on collision of two dust acoustic solitons (DASs) in a nonextensive plasma with positive or negative dust grains fluid including the effect of dust size distribution (DSD) is studied. The phase shifts for the two solitons due to the collision are derived by applying the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (PLK) method. The influences of the power law DSD and the nonextensivity of plasma particles on the characteristic properties of the head-on collision of DASs are analyzed.

Background: arginine and its metabolites have been linked to pediatric chronic kidney disease (CKD). We aimed to estimate serum levels of argninine (Arg), asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) and symmetric dimethylarginine (SDMA) in pediatric CKD patients and its relation to altered kidney function.

Patients And Methods: 132 pediatric patients with CKD and 120 healthy age and sex matched controls were compared regarding; serum Arg, ADMA and SDMA levels.

The dynamics of linear and nonlinear ionic-scale electrostatic excitations propagating in a magnetized relativistic quantum plasma is studied. A quantum-hydrodynamic model is adopted and degenerate statistics for the electrons is taken into account. The dispersion properties of linear ion acoustic waves are examined in detail.

Propagation of dust acoustic waves (DAWs) with the effect of power law dust size distribution (DSD) in a magnetized dusty plasma with opposite polarity dust is studied. Using a reductive perturbation method, a Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation appropriate for describing three-dimensional DAWs is derived. The compressive and rarefactive solitons are possible in the present model.
