Based on results of clinical trials, completion ALND (cALND) is frequently not performed for patients with breast conservation therapy and one or two involved sentinel nodes (SN) by micro- or macro-metastases. However, there were limitations despite a conclusion of non-inferiority for cALND omission. No trial had included patients with SN macro-metastases and total mastectomy or with >2 SN macro-metastases.

However, we can outline strong limitations of these trials to validate this attitude with a high scientific level. We designed the SERC randomized trial ( ClinicalTrials.

The primary purposes of this retrospective study were to evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic methods over a 10-year period and to validate prognostic factors. This information should greatly improve patient selection for conservative treatment or mastectomy.

Low transverse incision according to Mouchel is an interesting technique in Gynecology-Obstetrics. Two closure methods are generally used but both inevitably leave a dead-space in the subaponevrotic zone. A simple technical variation, which is rapid and easily reproducible, allows to overcome this inconvenience.

Our purpose was to classify the different types of IBC for which diagnosis was confirmed intraoperatively and ascertain features allowing reliable diagnosis. We studied clinical findings, biological data, and treatment outcome in a series of 144 successive patients.
