Introduction: To investigate 5-year outcomes on intraocular pressure (IOP) and safety of micropulse transscleral cyclophotocoagulation (TSCPC) in patients with glaucoma.
Methods: Patients with mild to advanced glaucoma who underwent a standardized micropulse TSCPC procedure at the University Eye Clinic Maastricht from November 2016 to February 2019 were included.
Results: A total of 165 eyes were included, with outcomes for 112 eyes available after 5-year follow-up.
Introduction: The PRESERFLO™ MicroShunt (PMS) has been proven to significantly lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma and has been available for use since 2019. With increasing published evidence and growing experience of glaucoma surgeons, the aim of this modified Delphi panel was to build on the findings of a previous Delphi panel conducted in 2021 and provide further guidance on the role of the PMS to treat patients with glaucoma in Europe.
Methods: Thirteen European glaucoma surgeons experienced in the PMS procedure participated in a 3-round modified Delphi panel.

The primary photoproducts obtained after irradiation with λ=365 nm are iridium pentafluoride (IrF ) and iridium trifluoride (IrF ), while longer irradiation of the same matrix with λ=278 nm produced iridium tetrafluoride (IrF ) and iridium difluoride (IrF ) by Ir-F bond cleavage or F elimination. In addition, IrF can be reversed to IrF by adding a F atom when exposed to blue-light (λ=470 nm) irradiation.

Design: The MicroShunt, a controlled ab externo glaucoma filtration surgery device, was investigated in a 2-year, multicenter, single-arm study.
Participants: Eligible patients were aged 18-85 years with POAG inadequately controlled on maximal tolerated medical therapy with intraocular pressure (IOP) ≥18 and ≤35 mmHg or when glaucoma progression warranted surgery.
Molecular platinum fluorides PtF , n=1-6, are prepared by two different routes, photo-initiated fluorine elimination from PtF embedded in solid noble-gas matrices, and the reaction of elemental fluorine with laser-ablated platinum atoms. IR spectra of the reaction products isolated in rare-gas matrices under cryogenic conditions provide, for the first time, experimental vibrational frequencies of molecular PtF , PtF and PtF . Photolysis of PtF enabled a highly efficient and almost quantitative formation of molecular PtF , whereas both PtF and PtF were formed simultaneously by subsequent UV irradiation of PtF .

Using a combination of coupled-cluster electronic structure calculations and a many-body potential expansion coupled with permutation invariant polynomial fitting and anharmonic vibrational spectrum simulations, we shed light on the origin of the trifluoride matrix effects observed experimentally. The theoretical spectra are found to reproduce accurately the measured data while providing deeper insights into the effects of the guest-host interaction.
