A practical and low cost system for isoelectric protein focusing (IEF) was developed. The system uses a multi-cell glass plate compatible with a common vertical one-dimensional electrophoresis chamber, dispensing specific IEF apparatus. After focusing, the IEF gels are easily recovered.
