The SIDDHARTA-2 collaboration has developed a novel X-ray detection system based on cadmium-zinc-telluride (CZT, CdZnTe), marking the first application of this technology at the DAΦNE electron-positron collider at INFN-LNF. This work aims to demonstrate the stability of the detectors' performance in terms of linearity and resolution over short and long periods, thereby establishing their suitability for precise spectroscopic measurements within a collider environment. A reference calibration spectrum is presented in association with findings from assessments of linearity and resolution stability.

SCD patients are more prone to intracranial aneurysms (ICA) compared to the general population, with distinctive features such as multiple intracranial aneurysms: 66% of SCD patients with ICAs have multiples ICAs, compared to 20% in non-sickle patients. The exact mechanism behind these associations is not fully understood, but there is a hypothesized link between hypoxia and impaired synthesis of extracellular matrix, which may weaken the vessel walls, favoring aneurysm formation and rupture.

Social media has become increasingly important in shaping public vaccination views, especially since the COVID-19 outbreak. This paper uses bow-tie structure to analyse a temporal dataset of directed online social networks that represent the information exchange among anti-vaccination, pro-vaccination and neutral Facebook pages. Bow-tie structure decomposes a network into seven components, with two components, strongly connected component (SCC) and out-periphery component (OUT), emphasized in this paper: SCC is the largest strongly connected component, acting as an 'information magnifier', and OUT contains all nodes with a directed path from a node in SCC, acting as an 'information creator'.

This study investigates radiographers' views on implementing dose-reduction measures, with a focus on verifying patient identity and pregnancy status, practising gonad shielding in men and using compression. An electronic questionnaire was distributed to radiographers working in general radiography and/or computed tomography. The questionnaire was based on factors from a framework for analysing risk and safety in clinical medicine.

Design: This retrospective, multicentre study evaluated six variables for predicting D5BUR using an artificial neural network (ANN): number of metaphase II (MII) oocytes injected (intracytoplasmic sperm injection); use of autologous/donated gametes; maternal age at oocyte retrieval; sperm concentration; progressive sperm motility rate; and fertilization rate. Cycles were divided into training and testing sets through stratified random sampling. D5BUR on Day 5 was grouped into <60% and ≥60% as per the Vienna consensus benchmark values.
Purpose: To evaluate the correlation between unconventional risk factors and the Systematic Coronary Risk Estimation (SCORE), and estimate the prevalence of conventional and unconventional cardiovascular (CV) risk factors in the rural Lebanese population in order to assess their CV risk.
Methods: This is a retrospective descriptive study conducted between November 2017 and June 2019 among the Lebanese rural population. The risk factors were analyzed from the files of the patients who presented for the CV disease screening days organized by a non governmental organization.
Phosphoproteomics allows one to measure the activity of kinases that drive the fluxes of signal transduction pathways involved in biological processes such as immune function, senescence and cell growth. However, deriving knowledge of signalling network circuitry from these data is challenging due to a scarcity of phosphorylation sites that define kinase-kinase relationships. To address this issue, we previously identified around 6,000 phosphorylation sites as markers of kinase-kinase relationships (that may be conceptualised as network edges), from which empirical cell-model-specific weighted kinase networks may be reconstructed.

Objectives: This study aims to determine whether the addition of Lactobacillus plantarum secretions to sperm freezing medium has an impact on sperm motility, morphology, and DNA fragmentation.
